  • Jonson Clarke-Harris is leaving Peterborough in the window. Sunderland look like getting him. Sandgaard should go all out in getting JCH. If we can get him and a sharp goal poacher the rest of the squad will feel it worth running for an hour and a half twice a week. Currently they do not have that.
If you were him though, what possible reason would you have to choose us over them? They can probably pay him more and they're in the promotion hunt.

Peterborough have denied the rumours though and even if they did sell, i think the price they'd want for him would rule out a league one club. MacAnthony won't sell cheap.
Yes, possibly the case. Sunderland is a long long way to travel when your family and friends  are all down south. The Valley is just up the road. He was THE player when in League One and be great signing....

Defoe aged 39? He is now available. Inspire the dressing room. Could work well with Stockley? Effective sub role.

Any idea when Stockley is back?

    6m quoted for Clarke-Harris. I think that’s a non starter.

Wow I know Darragh drives a hard bargain but £6m for JCH is pretty crazy, scored 4 in 19 this season in the Championship.

As it is for most teams.
Not really true though there’s been 77 incoming transfers made already in League One. We account of 0% of them.
Where did you get 77 from? That's an average of 3.34 transfers per side spread out across the other 23 teams in our league.

The list I posted above clearly has some errors in it / slow to update by a day or so but I count 25 which is a massive difference to 77.

Taken from Transfer Markt. No idea if it's right just blindly trusting what they say :)

Would be pleased to see Chuks back.
Lyle? Nope. I’d rather finish 15th and have nothing to play for then see Lyle in a Charlton shirt again.

Lyle if you are somehow reading this polishing that fine ego of yours, I’m sorry and take it all back. We are seriously shite and need you.
    Hopefully see you soon mate.
    Pretty pathetic.
    It’s pretty clearly a joke isn’t it?
Try harder to not act like a prat.

Anyone know anything about Ollie Tanner? 19 year old earning a lot of praise down at Lewes and now being linked with a host of Prem and Champ clubs. Apparantly we released him a few years ago and he went to Bromley before going on to Lewes.

why ? .. we urgently need a striker and it doesn't look as if there is one coming in soon (if ever) .. as I wrote SHORT TERM  at least
Because he’s crap. We need players better than the options we have or at least the same level as Washington and Stockley.
you've seen him play regularly have you ? .. stick to writing your pretentious previews and write what you know about

Yes, seen him enough to know the level he’ll now be playing at is his true level. His only really been successful in England in League Two bar one half decent season last year. Doesn’t make him a good player or anywhere near the standard we should be going for.

Notice whenever anyone goes against your opinions, you have nothing to back yourself up except insults.

Maybe take some of your own advice for a change and stick to writing something you actually know about, you sad, sad man.
you really think Sandy is going to invest enough to buy 'the standard we should be going for'? .. you poor deluded arrogant poseur .. AND, I don't believe you've seen Hemmings play more than once or twice and a few times on TV highlights .. whatever

Don't see much point in getting loans in this window unless there is a view to a permanent deal

anyway .. Josh Magennis to Wigan, that was already mooted on here .. gives Wigan a very strong set of strikers .. quite a few L1 clubs bringing players in .. Plymouth, MK Dons, Lincoln, Crewe, Bolton
    Charlton?
Callum's list is already out of date and it shows how difficult it is to keep up with events .. don't know for sure but Charlton must by now be one of the few L1 clubs with no new blood .. interesting that 'fancied' teams coming up fast have signed nobody so far .. Ipswich and Pompey brought in a lot of newcomers in the summer, are in pretty good order and their management must feel happy with the squads they have .. UNLESS perhaps they see a bargain star that they just cannot refuse ((:>)

agree with this .. and I can't see many, if any permanent moves either .. perhaps this season should be one of consolidation, sorting out who we need and who we don't, then hopefully bring in new blood in the summer. However I am not too optimistic that Sandy has the means to finance a complete overhaul of the playing staff, and that is what's needed .. as ever, we will see

I think someone used Dasilva as an example of a loan that could be worthwhile which is a good point. A Liam Millar is a bit pointless but an 18 year old from the Prem who could use the next few months as experience/settling in and then becoming a better player next season could be useful.

not for me .. I am sick of us being used as a testing ground/free coaching school for other clubs wannabes .. not being defeatist or optimistic, we are like the Grand Old Duke of York's men (nothing to do with US court cases here), we're going neither up nor down, so i m o signing anyone for the sake of it is not worth it

I don't disagree, but it's the way it is. It's not like we're the only club who relies on loan players. I want to get out of this league, and if we can sign players on loan we wouldn't be able to afford then so be it. We couldn't afford players like Bielik and Cullen and so the alternative to them would probably have meant no promotion.

I’m good mates with Ollie and keep in touch with him as he used to work with me up till he left Bromley to go to lewes he has been outstanding this season great winger and number 10 he won’t be coming to cafc he training with spurs this week and been in talks with Brighton Southampton Watford I think he choose Brighton and go back on loan to lewes,at Bromley Neil smith never really gave him a chance so more there loss lewes gain. We let him go as he was too small he told me he very good friends with Albie but I think he be going to Brighton

    You’re embarrassingly hilarious.

Call me what you like, I couldn’t care less :joy: I’ve not once tried to impress anyone on here, why would I need to do that on a public forum? You must feel threatened, that seems the only explanation.

You wanted us to sign Hemmings, who joined Tranmere, his natural level - I know that because I’ve seen him play enough, whatever you may think. Yet, we’re resigning Aneke so yes, my point of signing the standard/quality of player we should be going for seems to be coming to fruition. Remind me who is the deluded one again?

As said, take your own advice and stick to writing about things you actually know about and from now on I’ll stick to engaging with people who are worth it.

could be a coup or he could be a flash in the pan like (say) Ajose .. his scoring record before joining Morecambe is poor ;.. Rotherham  of course would be taking a punt on him to get the goals to ensure promotion.

Toto Nsiala [Ipswich - Fleetwood] Undisclosed .. decent, at least when I saw him versus us for Shrewsbury, big defender, been around a few clubs recently .. could well be a good signing for Fleetwood who got a million for a player this month and seem to be investing the cash in experienced lower league players ..  we'll see him v Chuks and perhaps Stockley next week if all are fit and raring to go
  • See Newcastle are apparently after Mavididi. 6 goals this year….can’t see him make the step up in the prem

Any other news? I’ve seen we have been linked with Lavelle from Morcambe, Gallagher on loan from Chelsea and Mendonca from Grimsby.

I also hear Maggie Thatcher is going to step down as PM as well.

He's the guy who had a row with his own fans after they lost 2-0 at the Valley.

Probably wasn't flavour of the month at Portman Road after that so i guess a move suits all parties.
