  • The negotiations were a bit delicate and we didn't want to faucet.
  • so that's another potential signing down the plug hole
  • Cawley saying something should be imminent, assume that’s the Spurs loan mentioned the other day on here.

Sunderland sign centre back Danny Bathh on a permanent from Stoke
Was hoping we'd be in for him but then I saw he'd gotten a bit tubby
He's happy to be out of Stoke. He thinks his former teammates are a right shower
  • Let's hope he can gel with his new team mates.
  • Saw him play the other day. He was a bloody shower.

You’re having a bubble I’m not going to sink that low Cawley’s told us somethings imminent 😉.
  • I just hope we don’t get sold another duck
  • See some are still in a lather over lack of signings ...
  • I see we’ve entered stage 3 of a Charlton transfer window (Impatience, denial, puns, anger, acceptance).

He said this then posted the Charlie Kirk listening to loan offers article an hour later. Stand down troops. :-)
  • Patrick Roberts is in the process of having his loan at Troyes cancelled so he can join Sunderland.

  • I hadn't realised that in the window Ipswich made permanent the signing of Christian Walton. A very good keeper at this level
  • Connor Wickham to MKD.

Not a typical MKD signing, but they are short with Max Watters being recalled by Cardiff

Man C paid Fulham a reported £12 MILLION for Roberts back in 2015 .. he played just once for Citteeehh .. a tiny drop in the ocean for the billionaires it seems

he is 28 years old .. been around so long I thought he was nearer 38
  • Lucas Akins has moved from Burton to Mansfield (not a long journey lol) .. I've seen him play a couple of times and was impressed .. this is a take out from wiki about his versatility .. dare I say we could do with an all round player of his ability even one aged early 30s

    Style of play[edit]

Akins began his career playing as a striker, before being deployed as a winger.[38][82] He is right-footed, but also comfortable using his left foot.[38][82] Akins states his favoured position is as a forward.[82] During his time at Burton Albion, he has been utilised in every outfield position, with his versatility being highlighted as a strength.[38][82] During the 2017–18 season, Akins was predominantly used as a right wing-back, with his work ethic being praised in one of the most physically demanding positions in football.[38][82] He stated he enjoyed playing there as he would find space when attacking against wingers who did not fulfil their defensive duties.[82]

  • Georgie Kelly leading scorer in the League of Ireland is up for grabs if we can outbid Plymouth who are leading the charge for him at present.
  • We never seem to be in for these types of names the non league or Irish prospects. I wonder why? Scouting network maybe?

I can’t think of one since Aribo and trying to Sorba Thomas
