It may be just me, but Brownie is driving me nuts as an in-game summariser on Valley Pass. He often has interesting insights, but he is talking way too much. It's not how a summariser should contribute. He's much better in the studio with Curbs, who often ribs him for his verbosity. In game he is discussing every small incident, and far too often pointing out what a player could have done instead. And never quickly. He is still talking long after the event, which must be a problem in the audio commentary when people need to know how play has moved on. Trouble is, it's how he is, Curbs keeps joshing about it. I wouldn't want to lose him, but I'd say to him, don't feel the need to comment on every little incident. Concentrate on the key things that are starting to affect the flow of the game. And never, ever keep banging on as the play moves on, because Terry/Greg have a job to do for the audio-only listeners.

He's a great lad but it's a bit too much during the game at the moment. It reminds me of bumping into an old mate who you like but try to dodge as they're going to chew your ear for hours, not minutes.
Keep at it Stevie 👍
I suspect that Prague is watching, and maybe there should be an option to turn off the commentary but still hear the sound of the game as we could in lockdown? Maybe not the perfect solution for everyone, but at least gives the closest experience to actually being at a match.
If it was not for Brownie it is the option I would choose as I really don’t need a commentator to tell me a ball has been pumped into the box when I can see that for myself, but I don’t want to sit in silence. I want to hear the crowd, whistle etc.
I loved every minute as I could feel how much we battled just by listening to them both.
Think my Bruv is getting better at pulling him in a bit. It was always going to take time, they’re fans, he’s Stevie Brown 😳
I appreciate what he’s brought to the comms personally.
Its fantastic value with great Charlton focussed people.
Feedback is fine of course but this comes across as a criticism and isn't necessary. You are getting a biased Charlton 'fan' and that is the product. Enjoy it for what it is.
Yes, boss?
Cease your garrulous loquaciousness forthwith, or I shall rib you for a second time about your verbosity.
Yes, boss.
I think he would be more suited to a "Monday night football" type role where he could dissect certain incidents at half/full time in the studio.
Again, I agree he does add insights, they are worth having, but, quantity rather than quality, less is more, etc...
@Redrobo Yep, I'm an annual subscriber. I was wondering if that semi-mute button exists, but the thing is, I think Terry and Greg are very good, they hit the right tone and quantity for me, even if Terry is palpably biased. Why not, we are paying for it, and Greg or Brownie soon correct him. But I wouldn't wish to mute them all.
Looks like I'm in a clear minority though, so fair enough, that's why I started the thread, to gauge the general opinion. I'll just have to live with it.
I also think Brown has really interesting insights and often makes me laugh.
My opinion only but Charlton TV would be way worse off without him.
Just my unbiased opinion.
