The way the B365 offer works there is no refund is there? You place the £5 e/w bet and instead of £10, only £5 is knocked off your balance - that's how it has worked for me each year anyway. Also worth noting that the offer ended (am pretty sure) at midday on Saturday so if you placed your bets after that, there's no refund!
I know you might be trying to help, but you literally repeated what someone said above.
I think anyone who can still get more than 65p on a horse racing bet with Bet365 should just be grateful!
I won't be asking them to take a penny of mine ever again if this don't get sorted pronto. It's not the money, it's the principle. Today's status: no £125 refund, no reply to 3 email messages.
Bob I am still waiting for my winnings. I withdrew my money Saturday. I made a mistake first time as i have a new debit card so I got an email asking me to update my card details before I can withdraw. I did so on Sunday and it left my account but hasnt shown up in my bank account.

I'm assuming Visa or M/C? It takes 1-5 bank working days (details are on the website) - not our rules but the card issuer's.
Not you, but on a broader note - where I can, I will, but it is inappropriate for me to intervene on a football forum with any specific customer service or account issues. I'm here as a Charlton fan, not a bet365 representative.
Is it possible that you are excluded from the offer? Mind you, if you've managed to get £125ew away with them would imply probably not the case
I think Peanuts said that it was two bets on two runners of £75ew and £50ew. Given the nature of the race I'm not sure that anyone who stakes those sort of figures on the GN would have their account closed for that reason alone. Equally, there won't be many punters who specialise in the National plus a few other long distant chases and do little else that warrants scrutiny and I might be wrong but I get the impression that he is one of those few.
Skybet have said that they alone took 1.2m bets (not turnover) and with an SP of 146% there is plenty of meat on the bone about the odd person who chooses to specialise in what is a notionally wide open race. That's a world away from someone who regularly picks races where traders have their price on one particular horse totally wrong or those who choose to use bookies to arb.
Is it possible that you are excluded from the offer? Mind you, if you've managed to get £125ew away with them would imply probably not the case
That had crossed my mind, though I've no evidence to support that, other than failing to refund 1/2 the stake at the time (the small print did say that it may take several hours to do so, so it didn't strike me as odd at the time). I understand systems failures happen to the best of companies, and I wasn't that annoyed that there's been a issue about the refund. I'm massively more pissed off, increasingly day by day, at the total lack of ability to have any dialogue about it and the total non response to 3 email messages. Systems failures happen but FFS this is 2022 and back up systems should at least provide for a minimum level of customer service, like answering a legitimate enquiry within a reasonable time-frame. If I was excluded from the offer, tell me. So the loss of £125 is 1% of my annoyance. 99% it's the principle of being ignored and having zero ability to do anything about it, other than expending a lot of time making a complaint to the regulator. Hence I'm x100 more pissed off today than I was at the weekend. If Bet365 can't get it's act in gear days after a systems crash so as to offer basic customer service, I'll just vote with my feet.
However, it is factually wrong about the terms of the Offer. My clear understanding is that the offer was in respect of bets on the GN placed at any time from Thursday morning until 11.59am on the Saturday.
This reply claims otherwise, that only bets made on the day of the race were valid for the Offer.
I'm disputing this, naturally.
@bobmunro, I completely understand and agree with your last post.
However, unless I am going bonkers, the reply is so clearly incorrect it would not serve Bet365 well to perpetuate it. If you'd like to know the name of the person replying on Bet365's behalf, I'll happily PM it to you. But, as I say, I understand if you prefer not to be involved. It's simply in your own company's interests you might like to know the (IMHO blatantly incorrect) nature of the response that I've received.

Hi ....,
Thank you for your email in regards to the Grand National Money Back Offer.
From reviewing your email, I can see that you are referencing the bets
under the references of PT8997576831I and PT8997576832I, that took place
on 07/04/2022, which would have been Day 1 of the Aintree Festival.
As per Terms and Conditions of this Offer, "This offer applies to Each Way
single bets placed on Win and Each Way Fixed Odds markets and the Each Way
Extra market for the Grand National, taking place at Aintree on Saturday 9th
April 2022."
Since the bets you have queried in line with this offer took place on
07/04/2022, this would mean that you would not receive a return for any of
these bets since they weren't eligible for the offer as they took place outside
of the eligible day of 09/04/2022.
Thank you for your patience in awaiting our response.
Hopefully this helps to resolve your query. However, if you do have any further

Seems to be suggesting that you had to place your bet on the day of the race (up to midday) which just isn't true. I placed mine the day before and got half my stake money refunded straight away.
You’ve probably got someone who doesn’t know what they’re talking about / misread the terms and conditions.
The terms quoted state that the race is taking place on 9/4, they’ve incorrectly understood that to mean that bets must also “take place” on that date.
Given the way that most of these CS departments are outsourced abroad, it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s case rather than anything intentionally malicious. It’s probably the same people working the live chat who are working the email queue…
Of course that doesn’t excuse the nonsense you’re being put through. Seems mad to me that they don’t have any kind of telephone line open. It can be done, just not something they want to invest in by the sounds of it.
Peanuts - if I've read their answer correctly B365 are suggesting that you didn't get an automatic refund because the bets were placed on the 7th. That is complete and utter rubbish as evidenced by my bet below for which just £7.22 was taken from my account:
07/04/2022 00:53:42
.Santini
33/1
Grand National - NRNB 09/04/2022
Win And Each Way (6 Places 1/5 Odds)
Placed
E/W Single 1 x £7.22
Bet Type: E/W Single
No.of Bets
1
Unit Stake
£7.22
Total Stake
£14.44
To Return £54.88
This is the offer (see 4. for the timescale though all of my bets were done instantly):
Offer Duration - This offer is available from Thursday 7th April 2022 until 11:59 UK Time on Saturday 9th April 2022.
Eligible Customers - This offer is only available to eligible bet365 customers who opened their account before 23:59 UK Time on Wednesday 6th April 2022.
Please scroll down for Significant and Full Terms and Conditions.
How it works:
Add all of your Grand National selections to the bet slip and enter a stake for each horse.
Ensure the E/W (Each Way) box has been ticked for each selection and the stakes will be doubled (stakes are doubled for Each Way bets).
Place your Each Way single bets and half of the total stake will be refunded, up to a maximum total refund of £125* per customer.
We aim to credit your refund instantly, however this can take up to two hours. Once this has been processed, it will show in your account balance.

Agree it's likely someone who's ignorant of the Offer - which given it's annual roll out and popularity is pretty unforgiveable tbh. I don't dispute Bob's comment that security checks when working remote is difficult but we are out of lockdown and I wonder why, if it results in such a delayed and, when it comes it, factually flawed response to a complaint, the customer service team are still working remote. This system certainly appears unable to function in the aftermath of a systems failure such as it experienced at the weekend. It will damage Bet365's reputation if others are getting the same crap in reply to the same issue.

I've intervened in this one - I'll PM you privately when I've got the response.
I've had a further email, apologising for the sender's error in interpretation of the Offer Terms - it was indeed for GN e/w bets placed from Thursday morning to midday on Sat.
However, I profoundly apologise to Bob and Bet365 because it seems that I did indeed receive an immediate refund of 50% of the stakes when I placed the bets on Thursday.
Tbh, having not recognised its effect on my cash balance at the time, the only reference I'd found to the bets in my betting history showed the full stakes of £150 and £100 (no reference to a half-stake) and I'd found and still find no way to track down a cash balance statement in the History Section of My Account to show the credits arriving or just the half-stakes debited. However, I've now been directed to the "Adjustments" section in my History where I can see 2 Adjustments for £50 and £75, which I assume must be correct.
Bob, if you don't mind me suggesting, old farts like me would find it a lot simpler if there were a cash balance statement to view all debits and credits in one place (like a bank statement) - maybe there is and I'm just clueless as to locating it, because while I don't doubt the sums were credited, I've no way of proving it.
In any event, I stand by my comments about communications frustrations and obviously there was an issue with the facts of the initial response but I sincerely apologise to Bob and Bet365 for erroneously believing I'd not rec'd the refund.
@johnnybev1987 You may like to check the Adjustments section of your History to confirm whether the refunds were made to you as well. I hope so.
Bob, thank you for your help. Very much appreciated and sincere apologies. My fault entirely.
Side note and related to the post… one of the first things betting companies could do to ensure safer gambling is make it easy to understand all your wins, losses, deposits, adjustments etc in one place with a daily/weekly/monthly sub total rather than separating it out…
Putting my cynical hat on for a second (and this isn’t directed at any operator in particular because they all do it), I’m sure it’s much more profitable for them if you can’t keep track of how many tenners you’re throwing away on your weekend accumulators…
There's an old adage that "the customer is always right". But most of us in business know that's bollocks, it's more about letting them down gently that they're wrong! :-)
Thank you Peanuts, i will check it. honestly haven't got round to it and as only a tenner, just assumed my mistake but i will check and hopefully its clearer or i can message them.
I agree with the bank statement part, would be alot easier to read and work out. I know you can do profit/loss etc and maybe there is somewhere which makes it easier.

That's the first thing they should do is it? - not deposit limits, time outs, self-exclusion, permanent exclusion, direct contact from the operator when they trigger certain thresholds of potential concern, affordability checks and so on? Ah but they've done all those anyway!
Every element of bet history and deposits/withdrawals is available to view - far more so than pretty much every other e-commerce operation. Bookmakers are not banks or building societies!
Maybe we should just ban it all together - make my life a whole lot fucking easier.

Based on the adjustments, it does state £5 grand national offer x 3, i did not notice it at the time and its not clear but i assume that means it was applied and maybe got lost in transit with my several National/ Footy bets over the weekend.
Rob Wright, the Times racing pundit is advocating cutting the field on safety grounds to a maximum thirty .. does he have a point ? .. fatalities, fallers bringing down other runners, lots of failures to finish .. on the other hand it's always good to see unfancied outsiders getting in the frame .. though when following Peanut's AI/Human I model, unfancied outsiders are never to be dismissed as no hopers

Thank you to @bobmunro
@johnnybev1987
You may like to check the Adjustments section of your History to confirm whether the refunds were made to you as well. I hope so.
Bob, thank you for your help. Very much appreciated and sincere apologies. My fault entirely.
:-)
I agree with the bank statement part, would be alot easier to read and work out. I know you can do profit/loss etc and maybe there is somewhere which makes it easier.
Every element of bet history and deposits/withdrawals is available to view - far more so than pretty much every other e-commerce operation. Bookmakers are not banks or building societies!
Maybe we should just ban it all together - make my life a whole lot fucking easier.
Thank you for your help PM
