Feel a bit bad for Hameed, that is extremely close to completely unplayable

Hameed fits in well with the rest. Absolutely jank.

It straightened but he was very stuck on the crease.

Yep - set him up with the first two deliveries and then got one to hold its line. And it did just enough to get the faintest of touches.

I don't think any batsman could be judged on being dismissed from that ball

Crawley out for12. Only batsman to score atm. Milan still stuck on 0.

Root in slightly later than I thought. I wonder if he will still be there by drinks

    Crawley gone.
  • Don’t like these commentators

    Prefer Ish and Warnie

Just heard that Wood is batting at 8! That’s some tail we have too. Root and Malan need to get big scores or we’re looking at another horrible score

It's raining - but only lightly. Gower and McGrath reckon that the team that wins the toss should bowl.
If I was Austrailia I'd make England bat first every bloomin chance I got, regardless of conditions

Yep, as I mentioned previously, gone are the days when we had Moeen at 8 and Woakes at 9

  • Our saving grace at the moment is that Starc is bowling poorly and the Aussies have chosen to play Boland instead of Richardson
  • BT have definitely got the sound balance wrong - can't hear the commentators. Which might be a good thing anyway!

No wonder we dont get 90 overs bowled in a day. An hour gone & we have a 5 min drinks break. Temperature is in the mid 70's so hardly sweltering.

    Play the gaaaame.

You know we’re shite when I flick on and think 35-2 isn’t even that bad.

There’s always a drinks break after an hour? Even in England in the rain? Surely it’s always about 5 mins.

It indicates time to get the first pint in or pop open the champagne if at the game.

Or put the kettle on when it’s overseas!

Malan edges Cummins to slip last ball before lunch.

    61-3

    Root 33 (59)
  • I was just about to post that considering the conditions and being put in. 60-2 wouldn’t be too bad of a first session. Then Malan gets out and 60-3 tips it to the convicts.
  • 61-3 at lunch off 26.3 overs

The two captains represent a one man bowling attack in the shape of Cummins (9.3-1-27-3) versus a one man batting line up by way of Root (33* off 59 balls)
  • Imagine how bad Adelaide would have been if Cummins had played...

    Well, that was fun
