Gah. That top 6 still looks so far off.

If only Thomas had pulled the trigger after Bolton.

    There's plenty of time.

Total control and great league bounce back after the last 2 away games.  It’s a joy to watch.  Fan-fu—ing-tastic

Watching Washington on that touch line...

    Unreal.
  • Watched on the stream. From our 1st goal onwards a game we dominated with an excellent performance. Top performances all over the pitch, especially Gilbey and Washington.

For the players that they have (and plenty of us were pretty envious of when they were signing them) I thought Ipswich were attrocious. I wouldn't have swapped a single player of ours with one of theirs tonight.

Cracking win and gutted I couldn't be at the game to enjoy that atmosphere.

  • Brilliant. Should have any score we wanted. Everyone was outstanding. Will post proper comments tomorrow.

Ipswich reminded me of Charlton under Adkins. Midfield had zero energy at all.

If you have not a ticket for Saturday you are missing out. The Valley is a special place to be at the moment.
  • Alex gilbey is the most complete midfielder we have had outside of the top flight. Phenomenal tonight.
Mad how right now I’m not sure how JFC gets back in when fit

Ipswich gutless, payday FC. We were great tonight, could see the team spirit in the way we played. Best midfield in the division. Strikers worked fantastically together and defence solid. COYR onto Saturday...

    It's a nice problem.

JFC would have been ideal to replace Lee as the game went on today.

He's also the alternative option to Elliot Lee when he's off form

Gilbey was on another level tonight, so was Akin Famewo who we now must make a huge push to sign permanently in January

    Ipswich keeper kept that respectable

Love it when we show intensity to win the ball like we did tonight, ground them down and enabled us to stretch them no end especially after the first goal

At half time I thought my feet were going to be blocks of ice by the end. They were nice and toastie come the final whistle.
  • Bet the Ipswich message boards make interesting reading tonight.

Ipswich looked as clued up as us under NA.

  • Curbs summed it up nicely: "A two-nought thumping".

Ipswich looked like us under Adkins.

Everyone was good for us, even Lee in the end who persevered and got an excellent assist at the end.

Washington and Gilbey the two real standouts though.
  • Jeez the keeper as well who basically stopped it being a cricket score.

Love addicks to victory playing in the background as it all unfolds…..
  • Very pleasant to watch us lately. I still b

He's announcing his immediate retirement tomorrow
  • How is it that Pearce now looks better than he did 3 years ago. For me, Famewo also benefits massively from having him instead of Lavelle next to him.
10 points albeit having played at least one game more than most of the top 6….could we?
  • Let's be honest we battered them I think they will be happy to have lost by only 2 goals

Great win, best we've played under Jacko. Thought we were going to rue the missed chances, but Gilbey finally got the goal his recent performances deserved.

If we're within 6 points of the playoffs at Christmas I reckon we'll make it.

What a feeling when that second went in. Could have easily lifted the roof off the stadium.
  • I was watching them. The Ipswich fans gave Walton loads of applause.

    And slaughtered the other players!
