It's so heart warming to read of your unwavering support of the Club in spite of what you are going through. As well as your fantastic family and friends, the whole of the Charlton community stand, each and every day, right beside you.
Ben, you've been given an important responsibility. You now own the official captain's armband, following the last game. This means that you are entirely responsible for Charlton's win in Saturday's game against Cambridge United. So, look after the armband. And make sure you know that everyone is willing you on. Because the result of Saturday's game is solely in your hands - or, on your arm. Wear the armband with pride. And make sure you keep positive and send positive thoughts to JJ and the team.
It's possible that JJ may make a late switch and choose someone else to be Captain instead of you. But, until then, we are all relying on you to keep up the positive thoughts and to do everything in your power to make sure Charlton gets another three points on Saturday.
Finally, I want to say a quick 'thank you' to you, for Saturday's win, which will be completely down to you. (Of course, you're absolutely allowed to blame anyone else if it turns out don't win on Saturday).
Hi Ben, Keep fighting the way the boys have been under JJ and you'll beat this thing hands down!! Have a great Xmas mate. Much love from the Charlton family x
Come on Ben, stay positive and keep that smile on your face mate. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, and happy New Year and sending loads of love your way.
