At first glance I thought this festive plate could have been straight out of a Dickens novel...and then I saw the bottle of Martini and the Sky remote. Could well have been cooked around the time A Christmas Carol was first published looking at those Yorkshires though.
Think Christmas Dinner is like art, it is open to interpretation and to individual taste. For me everything is optional if it is what you want. I personally want meat, pigs in blankets, sprouts, carrots, stuffing and roast potatoes and parsnips. Lashings of gravy is an obvious accompaniment, think Yorkshire Puds are acceptable with anything even a salad.
Me, I'm partial to a bit of Yorkshire pud avec pudding du Yorkshire with a side order of budino dello Yorkshire.
This was good fun yesterday, well done those who put themselves on offer for entertainment. Truth be told some cracking looking dinners, hope they tasted as good as they looked.
