  • This was good fun yesterday, well done those who put themselves on offer for entertainment. Truth be told some cracking looking dinners, hope they tasted as good as they looked.

But seriously, corn on the cob???

Can we have a bubble day today please boss? My fave christmas meal.
  • Crack on, it’s buffet day in the House of AFKA.

  • Mrs done well this year.
Ms AA's exact words were "That's disgusting".

And then I showed her this picture.

To be fair, the carrots look nicely cooked.

  • Lovely setting (old cottage on IoW?) BUT, does the person sitting next to the tree parachute in?

    Mismatched cutlery - what’s that about ?
He used the wrong fork for starters, that's all.

    Great potatoes, golfie.

I didn't take a picture of mine but my wife made homemade stuffing and a carrot soufflé alongside all the rest. She spent over 4 hours cooking that great dinner and she did all the washing up! I'm still in shock.
  • Today's offering at my place. Just going in the oven.
  • An entry from the enemy. Pre-gravy soaking.

Roasties look nice. Veg in general looks tasty. 😋
It’s very neat and tidy. My old art teacher used to say you should line things up towards a vanishing point to give it depth. Looks like you’ve tried to make it look 3D. 😂

    ....and the yorkies, of course....

Are the Stellas and wraps just out of shot?
  • Who knew Peter Rabbit was a Millwall fan…

  • Have you been kidnapped and held in a basement and your captor is trying to show a human side by giving you a Christmas dinner before making a suit out of your skin ?

Your roast potatoes look the best out the lot  @Bournemouth Addick just look on the right side of crisp and floury.

    Some good efforts all round.

Military precision in the layout 😉

Can't claim any credit beyond peeling them tbh but they were spot on. Thanks to Mrs BA and Delia.

I get a decent discount from my local butcher, it was just under £60.  Think it should have been £68.  Rib of beef is a personal favourite

Phew, we had one about 2/3 the size of that and I nearly fell over when our local butcher said £44!
Happy to support my local trader but didn’t really taste 4x better than a lump from Waitrose if I’m honest….
