Should never have changed the original concept. These people are not entrepreneurs. They are not offering serious businesses. They have no business acumen whatsoever. At the very least you might say one or two of them have the faintest personality to make it in business. That's where the old concept of giving them a job on Sugars firm might actually make some sense.
Victoria showed reasonable business acumen on the show, she might have made a credible old style employee
The business plans are soooooooooooo bad that I’m convinced the candidates are instructed to write them strictly alone with zero input or checking by anyone. The errors and oversights are to such a degree that I would expect most 7 year olds to do better. The fact that all of the business plans of the final 5s in recent years are, basically, uninvestable is hard to believe.
Victoria’s failure to include ANY staff costs, stock and 70% of the premises costs is beyond belief. 33 grammatical errors in the opening pages - wow!
Brady was even more irritating than usual. Where did all this Baroness bollocks come from? For weeks they’ve called her Karen and it’s not been a problem and now she wants to be called that. Ridiculous.
When they first started doing these interviews they were tough and, at times brutally, honest, but, as every with series the show tries to one up itself, they have just become kind of mean. The current trend for asking a question and the speaking over the candidate while they try to answer it was particularly infuriating.
I thought Rochelle should have been fired from the last two tasks. She doesn't listen and has poor judgement IMO. At least that is how she came over with the editing,
First season I haven't enjoyed. Usually the interview stage is great TV, someone who looks good gets torn apart by Claude with hilarious consequences, someone who looks average knows their plan inside out and comes out it looking strong.
Having people who haven't even written a business plan before or ran a business be on the show is bewildering. They were all clueless. Getting a bit conspiracy theorists here, but Karen was built up to be some rottweiler out of nowhere and the final 5 were all women, with some of the male candidate sackings didn't seem right. Karen just seemed to aim to make them cry, there wasn't any wit, it was just nasty heartless stuff. Was this some ratings ploy?!
I think the only way for this show to have any legs is to bring in some serious candidates. Not only are the people on this series pretty useless, only the cannon boy and the two doing the prison tour had any personality.
Absolute textbook Mail journalism there, somehow spinning an article about TV gameshow to include both a picture of some gratuitous cleavage and an angle on how unsafe Britain's streets are.

It's so boring reading Labour this, Tory that.
