Was a lot better than I was expecting, starting with a winger and an 18-year-old up front against Prem opposition. Thought we deserved extra time at least but their fitness and quality got them the result, and our lack of it cost us. (Which it has many times).

We need a striker and a quality CM who can play a pass. Gilbey has his moments but is not contributing to our attacking play with any consistency.

Winnable game lost because of our attacking composure.

Norwich would not look out of place in League One and we would have beaten them with a better striker.
    Give it a rest ffs
He hasn't said anything wrong there. That game was there for the taking, and our inability to score is why we lost.

Didn't deserve to lose that, everyone lump on Norwich relegation, 100% nailed on based on that game, they are dire
Anyone thinking Norwich today were Premier League quality needs to give their head a wobble. They wouldn't look out of place in our league based on today.

Good performance overall, and as much as it would have been great if we equalised at the death, we can probably do without a replay...
    There are no replays.
Probably could have done without Extra-Time

Didnt realise until someone mentioned earlier that we have Crewe on Wednesday
    Why?

We are midtable in League One, we aren't going anywhere.

At least in the FA cup we could have had something to look forward to.

  • Thought you played quite well, all things considered.

    Ignore the fun sponges.
  • We can now focus on Papa Wotsit Cup
    Did you see Hartlepool yesterday?

As frustrating as it is, we looked more like the Premier League side than they did, and it’s a performance the boys should be proud of.

If anything, today really just highlights our need for another striker.

Dominate games and can’t score. Getting boring now.

Not too disappointed. Thought we had a really good go, but no real end product. The neutral wouldn’t have know there is 2 divisions between the 2 sides. We ran out of steam, shame we had to make the 3 changes really. Think we could have nicked it if we had Stockley in the team.
Might just be me, but my only real negative was Leko. I just can’t have him at all.

anyway, most important thing was that Ben Jay got to lead the team out l, and hopefully got some good memories.

Thought that was a superb effort by our lads. Give JJ some money to get the players he needs for a good go next season and we’ll be on the road back.
Norwich fans ole’ing at the end embarrassing and their players time wasting after being schooled by a shit third division team. Good luck with that relegation fight. You’ll need it on that showing.

Its not mathematically over is it, not by a long way - Its an extreme stretch, but if the players came out with your defeatism, a number of you would calling them every name under the sun!!

Jesus, the amount of you prepared to wave the white flag so early is embarrassing.

Not to mention I had already explained to the twat WHY I felt we could have done without extra time and the first line I get back is asking me just why - I mean how blind / ignorant do you want to seriously be?

Decent performance, particularly given our two main strikers didn’t play. We’ve known all season that is where we lacked depth. Nothing massively wrong with the performance.

Thought we did DJ a disservice by taking him off, unfortunately today you could see Burstow and Leko haven't played as strikers together, they just didn't link up at all really, and like many have said if Washington or Stockley were involved today I think we would have won.

Hanley wouldn't have enjoyed it against Jayden at all, the bullying prick

    Calm down

I’m not saying they should give up on the league, just that extra time and some tired players on Wednesday is worth a place in the 4th round of the FA Cup

One word sums up the first three matches of the Jackson era. Toothless. Will we score on Wednesday night I wonder?

Without reinforcements back to a relegation scrap. We are now a well organised team that does not look like scoring.

So depressing sitting there waiting for them to score and knowing that would be that.
