Yes, me met up in Floyd Road, Bollox got the camera out early as we couldn’t guarantee both motors would make it up there :-) Nick had an old Escort, I had a Capri which flew along but all the time the wind was whistling through the holes in the bodywork.
I did put the pictures of that day out on a previous thread. This included both cars. The less said about the Derby fans attempt to punch me after the game and smashing his hand on your capri the better!!
Finding it very hard not to see the name Addicked come up in the threads…….it just doesn’t seem the same somehow. I find myself thinking what he would have commented on and how he would have injected his own brand of calculated whit and humour. I know it’s been commented on by many in this thread but boy oh boy, his presence is going to be so very much missed.
I didn’t have an active account last week so I couldn’t post any photos of the times I shared with Nick over our long friendship. Here are a few. RIP Nick.
Glad to see you back on here, shame it's for such a sad reason.
Love that one of me and Nick at the site of the Christmas Truce football match. It was bloody freezing.
That trip to Antwerp was fun. Some of the older members of the group were slightly surprised when Nick, I'm sure accidently, took us on stroll around town and along the red light district.

Well Nick also booked the hotel in St Truiden which turned out to be next to the red light strip which ran for about 2 miles almost to the disused Belgian Air base which allegedly was in its day a good source of income for the ladies. Don’t forget I had to share a “Queen Bed” with Nick at the Antwerp Hotel. Becky (his daughter) said Nick was laughing about it in the Hospice. Laugh or cry. So bloody sad.

Yes, I remember that St Truiden hotel. Certainly an eye opener for a much younger Jacob and @UEAAddick
Having to wake Nick up because he'd parked his car in the middle of the Sunday market after we'd had a bit of a late night session in Longpont wasn't fun. Especially as it was an irate Frenchman asking : - ) Nor was seeing him first thing in his Y-fronts!
I think it is "laugh" because that's what Nick did but you are right, so so sad.
