  • If only we had a young striker that could finish eh? Might be out of sight.

Fortunate for the goal but we deserve the lead based on this half of play.
  • SELR gutted var isn't in league one 🤪
    Nice and childish as ever.
    🤣 keep your Alan's on. It's just a joke.

Controversial but for Sean Clare is our POTS so far

Straight fight between him, Dobson and Washington. All players written off by the manager and a number of fans in September.
Yep exactly my thoughts, the irony!!🤣
  • Quiet an enjoyable half of football that. Have to say I was bloody worried after 15 minutes, but we seemed to grow into that game, and probably the best I’ve seen us since Rotherham.

Can we keep it up second half though?

I was allowed to do an earlier shift watch this DFTU Charlton.
  • Good half. Started very badly, grew into, backed off a bit and then really came into our own. Dobson, Famewo, Clare, CBT and Morgan excellent. Matthews putting some decent balls in and Inniss looking untroubled. We haven't really got the forwards into the game and Gilbey is getting into good positions but fluffing his lines with the ball at his feet. He'll get more space as the game goes on though so he could still be decisive for us tonight. He looks like the only player on the pitch capable of really getting behind their defence, assuming CBT doesn't decide to walk through them all again. I'd complain that we should be more than one up but given how atrociously offside our goal was I think that would be a bit much.
  • That's laughably bad from the lino watching the replay back again.

How on earth can you not see a 6 foot 3 striker dead centre of the 6 yard box about 2 yards offside?!
Black lad in black kit in an evening match? Maybe the lino's night vision is nearly as shit as mine

Scott Fraser doesn't just score that, but he celebrates by mooning the Pompey fans and then solves world peace
Not quite mooning but Gilbey has previous with the home end at Pompey... 60 seconds into the below highlights video.

  • Matthews has put in more decent crosses in that half than DJ has all season.
  • The goal was off side but so what.  By far the better team for the last 20 odd minutes.

Pompey started well then fell apart.  Reminds me of us at MK Dons earlier in the season.

    Big 45 minutes coming up..

  • CBT nearly got goal of the season.

I have no idea how Hirst failed to get on the end of that chance for Pompey.

We actually looked half decent as the game progressed.

This lino is shit I love it
Don't we get him in the second half?
  • Dull and lifeless for 20 minutes but came to life with CBT's wonder run. Only looked like one team in it after that. Great atmosphere from the fans. More of the same in the second half please.
  • Best half for a long time
  • Slow start but grew into it and just about deserve the lead at HT. Hopefully we can nick a second.

Well that was the best first half away from home we’ve seen for a bit. Could be should be three up.
Gilbey’s frustrating, @Leuth, but if he could pass and finish better he wouldn’t be in L1.
  • Good half so far. Should already have a second and will need another to make it safe. But we look dangerous attacking at pace.

Should have been behind, Portsmouth started much the better team and missed some easy chances but we came back into it well and deserve to be ahead. CBT has had a particularly good game.

Hopefully the lino puts his contacts in the second half and catches them offside.

    Final POTS positions?

    Here's a clue ...

  • Honestly though, that is shameful from the linesman. He's looking right at it!

That is the worrying thing - he obviously doesn't understand what offside means...
  • Well that was uplifting given what is going on elsewhere with Burstow.

But unless we get a second goal I doubt we are going to come away with 3 points as our defence is unlikely to hold out.

And the ref will no doubt give them a decision to even things up.

  • What a weird half!
  • Morgan, Lee and Gilbey have all been so wasteful from the same positions all season.

Maybe unleash CBT in that role and just let him run and attack!

Playing well, but we always look better when teams play like Pompey are and give us some space. It's the massed ranks defending of teams in a relegation fight we haven't found a way through yet.

Too much info Up…oh, you said “shift”…
  • What a weird half!
After the last 10 hours did you expect anything else?
  • We have the dopey linesman to defend against now!
  • Dodgy goal, but we've dominated since then and deserve to be in front.

We'll be attacking towards the good lino and defending with the bad one in the second half
