  • “For me, looking at the video, the cat hadn’t done anything wrong”

Bizarre comment from Souness (unsurprising, he’s a twat) - would he have been ok with the video if the cat was blocking the tv or shat on the floor?
  • Souness has it absolutely bang on in what he's saying
Absolutely. Respect for him for speaking up. Carragher and Richards looking a bit sheepish because they know he’s right.
    What did Souness say?

Someone who lives in the real world. It was needed.

Sorry, your persistence in defending a nonsensical position is to be admired, albeit dull, and it has nothing to do with the OP and has no real place in this thread or for that matter, this forum - but you could I guess start a new thread headed - Faith, a Dystopian Future?  The fact you refuse to say which “faith” or god to which you refer, for many of us who believe in science and in the ultimate good in people, the exclusion of a non existent being is not the measure of success for discussions of the day.  Indeed the concepts you have clearly alluded to previously - anti antifa, women’s rights, same sex love, equality, your no comment on Trump and evangelists, the horrors inflicted on the world by the warped interpretation of fairy tails, “leftists” etc etc. - are disgusting and problematic to any forward movement and positive future.  Your concept of an anti science “belief system” with the amount of intolerance leaking though your posts, having any part in such discussions is, put simply, abhorrent. Nobody wants an extreme right wing interpretation of any God or any book, and your diatribes lack any sense of love, understanding, turning cheeks or humility.

I find your position untenable, some of your statements really do highlight exactly what and who you are, from the drivel about antifa to your description of abortions, and that extremism is self evidently alive and well in heavily faith based countries such as Philippines and Turkey and since Trump, supported by the evangelical vote, the rise of anti democracy, racism and intolerance.  These are not futures I want for my children and grandchildren.

We will never agree and I would refer you to your comment regarding trolling.  You have regularly responded to posts disagreeing with your posts, increasingly revealing an inability to consider anything being said, starting with a post that had absolutely nothing to do with the OP.  It is the very definition of trolling

We agreed to disagree, so let’s do that.  I am not engaging further.
That Sir, is the most eloquent “f*** *f” I have ever read. I hope the target gets the message on behalf of us all.
I don't think you speak for all Charlton fans. We all love our club and support it through thick and thin. We have that much in common.  Whether we disagree on non-footballing matters is something else.

And so back to the cat, zouma and Souey...

That's certainly a hot take. Misses the point entirely but there we go.

No he would not have been okay with it bit he's making the point that it wasn't Zouma losing his rag or having a bad day - he set out to do it because he thought it would be funny.

Abuse would never be the right response but there's a difference between a moment of madness and what Zouma did.
  • How can anybody claim they speak for everybody, and use terms like ‘we’ when they can only be certain of ‘I’?

Saying the cat hadn't done anything wrong doesn't mean you also hold the opposite view if it had done something wrong.

Rachel Johnson is the sister of Boris Johnson, and the environmentalist father she mentions said that the Irish would always shoot each other.
I suppose if you’re related to liars and racists, you would suggest the world moves on from what you wish to describe as ‘one little mistake’, in order to establish a culture that would let your relatives off the hook.
Why do the worst type of people always end up in power?
  • Could it be because nobody has to pass a test or get a licence to have children?

  • Seems like one or more Man Utd players don't agree with Greenwood being unavailable for selection even though he's still only out on police bail.
  • No sources mentioned at all.
  • Players at club where star player is a rapist, defend another scumbag... shock

  • I believe that in the USA 'Johnson' is slang for cock. I don't embrace everything that country does with the english language, but that one I'd say they've got bang on
  • Also, its not just one misguided kick, he slaps the poor moggy about too. Thats the only abuse we know about too.

  • It's funny, it's always these sorts of people who talk about 'cancelling' as if it's a real thing. They tend to often be the ones who talk about free speech and how people should be able to express themselves however they want. That's all that's happening with Zouma; people are disgusted by his actions and they're feeling very free to tell him that. Companies no longer want to work with him because he's bad for their brand and football fans, who get upset about haircuts and goal celebrations, are telling him what they think of him. He's still got his job, he's still free to earn £100,000 a week for many, many misguided kicks over 90 minutes, he just might have to hear people telling him what they think of his actions, which ws already happening to every footballer anyway. Those fans are free to express themselves as long as they're not crosing the line into illegal abusive territory. Cancelling is just like 'woke', a simple word that's been taken by old people and twisted into an emergency that doesn't exist.
    It is and it does.

Can't imagine that's true. A lot of players are thick as shit but i can't really see how anyone would have the hump at the manager/club suspending a player on bail for rape, assault and threats to kill.

Would perhaps be more believable if he was their main man, top scorer etc, but it's not like they're doing shit because he isn't there.

What examples make you feel like cancel culture is a real and serious thing? And why do you think it's an emergency?

I know a lot of people feel this way so curious to understand why a bit better.
  • Bejesus!  AND the football is shit AS WELL!
