Can’t work out what this loan means. He was being talked of being not to far away from a run out for the first team earlier in the week. Is this a sign that they don’t think he is ready, or is this just away of giving him some ‘men’s football’ before giving him his chance?

I would assume it’s the latter, hence only a one month loan

It's a youth loan so can be recalled and can still play for our u23s
Think it is very much to see how he copes in men's football and evaluated if we keep him on next season.
He’s out of contract in the summer - has he really pushed on this season or should we have had him signed up on a longer deal much earlier?
Captain of the under 23’s and you only have to look at who is interested to answer this question.
Maybe he would have played if he had signed a new contract?
I can certainly see why you say this. Against Peterborough this week Ness stood out, but for some reason Deji hasn’t been playing in recent months, so right now the comparison is harder to make. It is so compelling to observe the ebb and flow of the development of the younger players. Certainly Henry is back on track, but I have concerns about Jeremy Santos, but Charlie Barker has re emerged a little bit. This kind of positioning is evident all round. I think first team managers and supporters want a youngster completely ready to slot in when picked, but we know it doesn’t work that way. Incidentally I for one would be irritated if Nile John gets appearances ahead of our own young players as the season tails off.

I hope Deji makes that jump soon because he’s certainly talented. Time is on his side as an 18 year old.
