    Very poor to let the player run around the outside of Matthews then was going past clare. A penalty all day. Ref was 5 yards away so easiest decision if the afternoon. Very wasteful and doubt Jacko will be amused. Shame as we were on top really.

    Still fuming at Matthews. That was absolute bullshit from him in the build up to the non-penalty. Pre-season casual bollocks.

    Not a penalty this one. First one, potentially on the edge of the box - marginally in but looks much more like a penalty. Referee bottles the second one and Wigan show of frustration pays off.

    Clare has been one of our best defenders this season but Matthew’s is always poor - how does he get near the team as a defender - OK as a wing back

    Clare couldn’t just stand and let the Wigan player run past, but he kept his feet to himself and the “contact” was all about the Wigan player dragging a leg as he threw himself to ground. Was a dive, basically. The issue was the pathetic way Matthews let him into the box in the first place.

    Clare is probably better off in midfield. Needs defenders in defensive positions. Not had a great week Clare and needs to work on discipline and concentration if he is going to continue in defence.

    We've dropped a lot deeper since we gave them that bloody equaliser, up till then we were far more confident, still in this very much and should be fine...who the hell are Wigan anyway...
