Tuchel is to the England team what Starmer is to the leadership of this country.

Thought I’d throw a bit of politics into this.
Grim experience being in the Holte End and listening to non stop chants about Starmer. It's boring
No, you just didn’t like hearing how much hatred there is of your hero.
I was also in the Holte End yesterday and by looking at some of the people constantly singing about Starmer - I’d be amazed if they could string a sentence together to fully explain why they were doing it.

It’s a very weird fanbase at times. And I say that as someone who actually follows England home and away regularly myself.
A very strange fanbase. From happy clappy family types with their names on their flag singing along to the band's rendition of great escape, to nerds collecting their caps and new countries to extremely 'patriotic' drunks.

What has happened to Germany in the past couple of years?

They're fall from grace reminds me of the Dutch.
  • Scotland really aren't much of a draw for a crowd.

Danes have gone in front against Greece who put 5 away against this Belarus outfit last week.

Greece 0 - Denmark 3. Bacon sizzling, Mythos fizzling. Makes up for the 0-0 vs Scotland.
  • Now 17 countries qualified as Morocco won their African qualifying group on Friday with 2 of their 8 games still to play.
Up to 18 qualifiers today after Tunisia also win their group with 2 games in hand, although in their case they've played 8 of 10. No real shocks about the first two qualifiers from Africa, but with 9 to qualify this time there are some relatively unfamiliar names among the countries still in contention.
  • You also need to factor in Saka, Palmer and Bellingham being back at the World Cup. Not to mention Stones alongside Guehi instead of Burn.

Still not sure who sits alongside Rice in midfield.

Is the Mainoo experiment over? What’s happened to Gallagher?
I think come the WC, assuming they're all fit it'll be a midfield three of Rice, Wharton and Bellingham

Getting closer and closer to drawing The Goodwin Sands in round 1...

Will need to add a few more hosts to that if it happens
The more you dilute, the less tasty it becomes. In Argentina they put ice in their wine.
    Is ice in prosecco ok?
No, it will go flat faster.

Hopefully we get a proper British manager in for the England job and Nigel in at Number 10 next year

Gf's brother and sister both went to see it and all. Hopefully the food there is good at least (if Georgia is anything to go by, it should be)

No one should be surprised as it’s now run on a shoestring after the eejits before spunk all the money.
That manager is way out of his depth but it’s all they can afford and they can’t afford to bin him.

Only Kelleher comes out of that Ireland team with any credit. Doherty rightly dropped after the last game, but the lot of them were shocking tonight.

Commentator mentioned the “leaders across the pitch” with the likes of Collins, Cullen and Knight all captains at their clubs. But not one of them has the gumption to take a game by the scruff of the neck and drag their team into it.  Loved Cullen at Charlton, but he isn’t good enough for international football and certainly not an imposing, or even decent, midfielder at this level.

Maybe it’s a good job Coventry didn’t get called up, atmosphere must be pretty toxic

They're finally getting their shit together as well with the talent they've got and are topping a group with Italy... Its crazy that Norway havent been to a Major Tournament since 2000

Not sure who they have defensively but with Haaland, Odegaard, Sorloth and Bobb, they'll be a threat to any team.
  • Norway now lead Moldova 10-1, Haaland has 5.

    10-1 now to Norway
Haaland has 5. Aasgaard also has a hattrick that he scored in 12 minutes.

Ended 11-1. Aasgaard got 4 in the end.
  • Aasgaard with 4 goals after only coming on as a sub with 25 minutes left.
Haaland with 5 goals and 2 assists.
