compared to three Asian and two Africa sides in the last 16 four years ago, it makes a bit of a mockery of giving 10 extra places to Africa and Asia.

La Paz is pretty high, went up a mountain just north west from there...just had a bit of a headache I think it was around 16,000+ feet up (2001). Went to Mexico City back in 98 and can't recall any issues, but then I wasn't running around that much.Weegie Addick said:

Re altitude sickness, I’ve spent time in Mexico City and felt no impact whatsoever - albeit I wasn’t participating in professional sport. Mexico City is at 2200m, very different from, say, Bolivian Altiplano at 4000m plus. Now I did have the headache from hell and a few other side effects there.I’m more concerned about them getting a decent sleep for a night or two before the match - no way will their hotel location remain secret.Getting nervous already.0 -
