One thing that nobody has mentioned is that with S. AFRICA looking so poor, how did Mexico not get their difference up there? I think they’ve wasted the opportunity to really give themselves a great chance of top spot.

It seems to me at this point (without yet seeing them play in this WC) that South Korea will win this group.

I do have a real problem with defender who think clearing someone out like that is a semi free hit
    This.

At the time I thought he took him out & should he sent off. As the pundits said afterwards, the attacker was just about to get into the box. Could easily have scored himself or crossed it to a team mate.

Funniest thing was the fee kick. Talk about giving up a goalscoring option. Almost led to  breakaway for Mexico.

I'll be happy if the next 101 games are as open as this one.

I’ve looked but can’t find a daily round up of matches on BBC or ITV. Is there one I’ve missed?
I would want that as I can’t see me being able to justify watching every match at home. There’d be arguments and I’d be exhausted.

I looked for this but couldn't find anything. Highlights of all matches on i player i believe. Probably the website too you'd imagine.
    Edit..Not sure about ITV matches
Highlights are on both BBC’s and ITV’s youtube channels
ITVs are pretty good but it’s pretty poor there’s no highlights on iplayer yet.

Going from william hill's match information the next game is at 2am UK time,  Friday morning, then the next game kicks off at 3am, then there's the Canada game at 8pm. I cannot get my head around time zones but that doesn't feel right at all.

Yes, it's odd for the 2nd game for the second game, held in the same country, (at 3am) to be 5 hours after the first one ended. Not helped by different Mexican time zones, but for the audience outside the country, it rather kills the momentum.

The next game is still Thursday evening over there.

The Canada game at 8pm is Friday afternoon over there.

Also the US coverage missed about 15 seconds of the second half because they were playing ads during the hydration break..

Yay! It's finally started, so the moaning, bitching and whining can begin!
    About pretty much everything.

Korean goalie looks half decent. Probably doesn’t pass the height test though.

4 red cards in the whole of the 2022 World Cup, with only 2 in the entire group stage. 3 in the first game here.

Azteca looked amazing, it's bizarre to me that it's the biggest stadium at this World cup yet it isn't hosting any games after the last 16.

For anyone looking to avoid spoilers in future, there were good 8 minute highlights on the iPlayer with no mention of score, action etc

The thumbnail at that link spoils the Mexico game but hopefully they learn..

Just watched the highlights... Shocking from Czechia really, would have expected better from them
South Korea should have been out of sight by HT, the Middlesbrough of the World Cup

Watched the last 20mins of it while doing the last of my packing coming back from Corfu. Luckily here is 2hrs ahead so it wasn't so bad.

A game of 4 quarters that adds plenty of time for adverts (sorry…hydration breaks). By chance, does this happen in American football?  I wasn’t impressed with the opening ceremony or the football. 🥸

The 10am kick off made it quite easy, so we had it on in the main lobby at school.
