A decent performance, but important to acknowledge it was 2-1 when the mass substitutions happened, and whereas we brought on a team of a fairly similar standard, Dartford's was far weaker with several triallists.

Impressed with Leaburn, more mobile than his dad.

Surely there is someone in the U23s or U18s who is worth a try ahead of Morgan? When are we going to admit defeat with him?
Because as soon as we get a post like that, he pops up with a good assist.

Albie blasts over with the keeper on the floor and the goal gaping.
And then he does that to bring us back to the middle.

I'd like to get carried away with a 1-6 win, but in fairness if we'd lost I'd have been saying it's only a psf.
Anyway, great result & there were some good goals there.

Is Leaburn one of the tallest out there? :D
No ... the others are further away.

    ;)

Interesting to see from the highlights that Leaburn does not make Aneke or Innis look like giants.

Yeah forget the overhit passes before it, the awful corners and the terrible first touch.
Give it up Dazzler. Admirably support and I hope he goes on to have a decent career. But he’s had more than enough opportunities and if you think he’s good enough for a League 1 promotion challenge, then you’re kidding yourself.

Great composed penalty... Never should have been given for me
Looked to me (via the stream) like Davison deliberately fell over the 'keeper instead of the gloveman bringing him down.

It's the same as attackers "leaving a leg out" to initiate 'contact' with the defender to draw a penalty - never a spot kick.

Both cases should result in a free-kick to the defence with a yellow card to the attacker for being a cheating **** ... and that goes for Charlton players as well. I've had enough of it.
Always a penalty. He touched it past the keeper, and the keeper clattered him just enough. Striker’s penalty.

There's no Swindon favouritism with playing Egbo out of position so far!

You can only beat what’s in front of you. What was in front of us wasn’t very much, so we won convincingly rather than doing just enough.
    I am happy with that.

  • Really enjoyed that , much better than last seasons match against Dartford, went into steam roller mode second half, Leaburn looked very impressive, but a bit of caution the defender he was up against would no way pass the Charlton Life height test, he was about 4 foot 6!

    Any news on CBT?

Didn’t someone say he was there on Friday doing photos. No knowledge but would imagine with his well known Dad and Mum they will make a deal with the announcement on social.

Second half I would tend to agree, however we did make the first half look laboured and was def a chalk and cheese performance, but yes overall, a good win and work out...

Highlight for me was Chuks audibly laughing as he brushed one of the dartford midfielders to the floor then laying the ball off, good performance, Kirk was wanting the ball a lot & quite annoyed if the pass to him wasn't right or too slow, good to see.
