You could play both and Kelman takes Alli’s place.ct_addick said:NJ please play Kelman off the shoulder of Leaburn…please don’t play Grant2 -
How about something like "successful unarmed ground level pneumatic sphere interventions".fenaddick said:
Out of interest what word or phrase would you pick?Exiled_Addick said:
Fair enough, still a wanky way to describe it (not your fault, or course), but I'm getting old and in a grumpy mood today so I'll not wang on about it.Chunes said:
Tackles has its own stat. A duel is apparently classed as: "Any direct, one-on-one physical contest between two opposing players to gain or retain control of the ball."Exiled_Addick said:
Or "tackles", as they used to be known before football decided it needed to sound more like an American boardroom. Non-aerial duels, honestly...Chunes said:
Won 61.4% of his aerial duels. Puts him in the top 9% of the league.shine166 said:
Yeah you'd hope hes winning a lot in the air, with our style of play. Id be interested to know what % of aerial duels hes winning.Leuth said:The bigger story in that list is how wedded we truly are to the hoof
Interestingly, he is top of the entire league for non-aerial Duels Won.1 -
For a less facetious suggestion, something like "contested possession won" would be planer English, imo, but I'm already starting to lose the will to live with even my own argument, so I probably should have just left the original thought in my head and never started typing it out. Life's full of regrets.fenaddick said:

Where on the pitch is he winning these duels though? And to what effect?, I don’t often see someone running onto a flick, surely we want him doing it in the 18yrd box( not ours too much), as I’ve said it’s not Leaburns fault, but having good stats on the wrong part of the pitch isn’t all that good, stats can be misleading. I’d rather he won less ball, but when he does it’s a scoring contribution in the box, or at least an assist.1

Reminds me more and more of his dad.
He’s actually showing some of the best footballing form of his career…..however, he’s doing it in the wrong part of the pitch, hence like his dad, he’s not much of goal threat in the final third.0 -
Still think Kelman will do the business in this league. Play him off of Leaburn, with TC one side and Karlan the other sideDOUCHER said:

I standby that we should play him behind the striker0
