Grant hasn’t been great, but he’s earned us 4 points whilst not playing a minute in his actual positionsuperclive98 said:
This is where I am with Miles.ForeverAddickted said:I'm not overly concerned about Miles and his lack of goals, because apart from the header vs. Burnley, how many chances can you say there has been moment where we've gone: "Miles you've wasted that" or "Miles why werent you there at the end of that ball" - The moment we start having to do that, there's a problem
I think that his overall play has been excellent.
When he starts getting and missing chances then people can complain.
Because of the way we play, if we take Miles out of the line-up we would create less.
Grant has been disappointing and he is the player that I would remove and give Kelman a go.1 -
He played on the left a fair amount at the start of the season to be fair.arny23394 said:

He definitely drifts in and out of games but he does have a knack of arriving into the box at just the right time. It's almost instinctual, could see him working really well with a Godden type player0 -
I wonder how many more games he'll start for us.fenaddick said:

I'd bet my house on it being less than 10, wouldn't even surprise me if it was less than 5ElfsborgAddick said:

I’d go one further and say if Mbick isn’t sold in Jan could see Godden leaving on loan for his final 6 monthsfenaddick said:

That's a very simplistic way of looking at a player's contribution.arny23394 said:

I still believe in his potential but I don’t think he’s ready to be a leading striker in a championship squad yet. A good league one loan might be beneficial to find his finishing.0

He has so many great attributes as a footballer but the simple fact is he has scored 0 goals.
Some of that is down to how we play, but he simply has to score more goals.4 -
Should have scored the header today or at least gotten it on target, its then his pass behind Grant that stops Karlen from being able to bury it in an empty net.
The trouble is I'm still loath to see him dropped as we saw once he was subbed off vs. Bristol City how things would stick up front even less after he went off... Footballers can impact a game, more than just through simple stats5 -
Do rate his all round game but you have to feel that with a clinical striker in his position we’d be 3/6 points better off already. For how tall he is, he’s shocking with his head in opponents area.1
-
I dont think he's good enough to lead the line on his own. Has a flash of brilliance each game, but can't score and can't hold the ball up. Watford's 9 turned a long ball into attack so often for them today. Something we desperately need.

He needs to score goals, we can't afford non scoring forwards in this side. Dykes has 4 this season and was derided by some on here as not being needed1
-
We have to try MBick. There's no one else1
-
Same goes for Mwamba and Nkeng for me - just not at the same time.bolloxbolder said:We have to try MBick. There's no one else1 -
The chance today on 8 mins, he has to at least hit the target
think he’s playing really well but needs to start scoring8 -
I like him , there’s a player there but with our lack of creativity chances are few and far between .
Stick him in the scums side and I’m sure he’d have a few goals , I mean that lisbie even scored today and pace apart he doesn’t look the greatest (as he goes on to score 25 goals and fires them to promotion)4 -
NJ pretty scathing about Leaburn to Louis. Would be surprised if he starts next week1

that's understandable for a GK...SELR_addicks said:30 games starting - 0 goals.1 -
Mmmm, i can understand being frustrated as if leaburn scores we prob go on to win but throwing players under a bus is never a good look for a manager4
-
In the right team Leaburn is certainly an asset. The way we play and our lack of goals creates a pressure on him that wouldn’t be apparent elsewhere1
-
Don't worry about that mate, some think Leaburn having not scored all season is an asset.superclive98 said:

You could not make it up.0 -

Absolutely.Alwaysneil said:Mmmm, i can understand being frustrated as if leaburn scores we prob go on to win but throwing players under a bus is never a good look for a manager
Behind all this I'd not be surprised if players are happy on the training ground.0 -
We can dress it up in as many ways as possible but the simple fact is he is a striker who doesn’t score.
In a team as blunt as we are in front of goal that’s not good enough.
Now clearly we have to create more chances but if we did manage to do that, it’s Kelman I would want them falling to3 -
He definitely has to score more, but there is a tonne of talent there and seems baffling to call him out in this way, or suggest he's about to get benched. We aren't putting him in the best place to succeed with our lack of attacking options.
I think Nathan is right to expect more goals, but I think it's odd to call out a player who is offering as much as he is elsewhere, it's not like he's playing lazily or not making runs.
I think I'd first look at someone like Karlan who should really be benefitting from Leaburn's build up and hold up play to score some goals in his space, and as that hasn't quite worked, see how we can get Kelman in alongside him.7
