Stockley taken off for Leaburn. He's been poor, but I'm not convinced Leaburn is ready to play up front on his own.
I've long wondered if Garner would consider playing with a false nine. It'd be quite tough at this level not having an out ball, but I think Payne and (if he ever comes back into the squad) JFC would be very interesting experiments.
I agree with that but if JS has been that poor then I suppose we need to roll that dice. Least we know he is a good talent and will make a nuisance of himself!
Agreed. Would rather he have had some run outs in cups against weaker sides and then some league games in lower leverage situations. But Stockers was poor. And every time Leaburn has been challenged this season, he's risen to the occasion.

Agree about Leaburn maybe not being ready to play up top on his own. Stockley doesn’t suit the system, Aneke not fit, another striker definitely needed, maybe it’s Stockton.
Just prior to that, Payne races through and beats Byers to possession. The Wednesday defender takes a tumble before handling in the box, but the referee, somehow, gives a free-kick the way of the hosts.

@L
If we had a proper striker we'd score every chance we created.
Apparently.
