Go on Fraser - do it for the baby!
  • Ben's ticka tacka 2 v The Vegans 0. Stockley to score twice to silence his detractors.
I'm ready to taunt the FGR fans and players by waving pork chops at them

Congratulations to the Fraser family. Scott will be a miss tonight I would imagine, but we have strength in depth in that position. I can see Ben changing the personnel up a bit tonight (after the last performance) and am hoping to see:

    JW

    SC TT OO’C SS

    CM GD JP

    JRS  JS  CBT

bench: CMcG, SL, CC, AM, CA, ML, CK

    COYRs…!
Given myself a headache trying to work most of those out.

It’s not just the fact that he may be given the opportunity to spend time with his first new born and his partner who will undoubtedly be recovering from giving birth. It’s also the fact that there is a possibility that hr missed training yesterday afternoon meaning he would not have been included in the prep.

Missing one game the day after a player’s first child is born is not a big deal.

Let’s understand the bigger picture here.

  • Home win .. try Thomas at left back where Clayden is pretty ordinary and that is being VERY kind
I'd like to see a 4 4 2 with Raki pulled back to right wing, Blackett-T on the left and Leaburn alongside Stockley .. this will not happen of course
FGR have made a poor start to the season under a new manager and have lost a couple of the better players from last season

I was thinking of coming down by train for this one, staying overnight in Greenwich Travelodge .. the  problem is Tuesday night in a 'cheap' hotel in the area would cost me a minimum of £125, maximum £192 ..  Greenwich High Street is fully booked, must be the FGR army come to town .. so. I will be online from N E Lincs

    CAFC 2 v Forest Green Rovers 0
Used to be able to find a few cheap nights at the Greenwich TL but they seem to be keeping prices higher since summer.
T/Ls everywhere are (I reckon) 80% more expensive since the lockdowns .. made it too expensive for me to go to many games  :'(
I got three nights in the Greenwich high rd TL in July for £160 - in the months prior to that I managed to get £120 and £140.  Now there is nothing over the next 9 months for less than around 200 - often more like 300.
The club are looking into getting discounts for local hotels for travelling addicks, no details yet but I'd hope that they would be available for "English" Addicks who have to overnight in order to attend a game.

Actually excited for this... Really hate those non-footy weekends

Same. As much as I personally thought it was probably an incorrect decision to cancel games last weekend, it just means we will have another game week with two games to look forward to later down the line.

God knows why as a Charlton fan ha ha.

There must be a way to stop the illegal streaming - it’s gonna kill football - can’t be that difficult for the clubs to get together and stop it surely ? The cameras are at their grounds and so are the cables - a bit basic o know but surely they can dictate where the pictures end up ???
Don't charge stupid fucking prices and people might go. Can you imagine what they would charge if attending was the only way to watch?

No reason why Fraser cant be involved. It was his wife who gave birth, not him & it was yesterday fgs !  Too much namby pamby these days.

Oh....and he's our top scorer as well !!

Must win game seeing as we then have 2 away games before put next home match. Anything less then we are slip sliding towards mid table. Fear it's going to be a draw though.

    1-1.

Yeah all the issues in the world boil down to someone wanting to spend time with their Son - Just because your a miserable self centered prick doesn't mean others have to be

PS our Top scorer cant be anything but a Striker according to more of your out dated views in the past!!
  • It’s bucketing it down. Has the feel of a depressing evening turgid game 🥲🥲🥲

Fantastic game, goals galore, incident upon controversial incident, people taliking about this one for years to come...  Will not be happening tonight.

See you on the match thread fellow sufferers!

I have absolutely no excuse not to pay my tenner and watch on the stream but much as I am trying to muster some enthusiasm I am failing dismally.  Uninspiring opposition (no offence FG), disenchantment about our transfer dealings, horrible weather?  Dunno, just can't get interested I'm afraid.  I may relent by 1930.

    Only £32 in certain stands.

Sit in the north lower and its £23 or £26 after the price increase.

Seen loads of comments on twitter about £32 this and £32 that, when the £23/£26 seats are available.

We all agree the £3 increase is ridiculous and needs to go, but £23 for a north lower seat is reasonable enough

Tuesday night under the lights... A light drizzle of rain... Should be the perfect setting for some zippy football.

    Agree.

Treat it like transfer deadline day. Let the club think you will cough up just on the stroke of kick off then just don’t bother. See how they like it 🙂
