Size of the squad, and the amount of injuries we're getting means we should think about giving up on the Cups - We may get a great opportunity to draw a big team (we probably wont)... But the amount of games we're now playing with our depleted squad, is hurting us in the League
    They've had a weeks rest!
Yup, and just a week ago Garner was saying the team were running on fumes - Well it looks even clearer on this showing, because its virtually the same eleven playing week in / week out.

I mean we cant even give Sessegnon a break, because we dont have another option - So the choice is we keep playing him, until his body cant take it, hence why the injuries are building
But why are they “running on fumes” four months into the season?
  • Is it ok to boo?

    BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
  • JFC sends the ball long towards Aneke, defender can only clear as far as Payne, but we get pushed back a bit.

And as usual we put our goal scoring striker on once we go a goal behind.

Try starting him ffs. Get ahead in the game then take him off.
    Zzzzzzzzzz
Well, its not been tried do far this season. But playing crap & losing after 60 mins has.

I'll be happy to be proved wrong WHEN  IT  IS  TRIED.
Convenient to ignore when we tried it last year and kept injuring him? We have the evidence. It doesn’t work.

You’re a broken record. Why have we never seen, at any club, at any level, a striker playing for 30 minutes at the beginning of a match and then subbed?

    Because it doesn’t work.

If you believe you’re a tactical genius who’s got an original idea and can predict these things, perhaps give Pep a call. He could use a Mystic Meg on his staff.
    Fine, I'm wrong.

Then don't expect anything to change anytime soon. Expect every game to go like this one. Stockley being a useless lump up front  - no shots on target and then going 1 nil down.

And PS. You dont see it at other clubs as no one is stupid enough to go into a season with just 2 fit strikers.  Apart from us.

  • Aneke booked for lunging in. Deserved really.

Very good question - Does Garner have the staff in that department to manage the players... Given that post match recovery is an important part of any Sport
  • Erk, Aneke lets the ball run to Sess when it isn't going to get that far, and then gets booked for a lunge in an attempt to recover possession.

Yes and the cause of that is Stockley and no viable alternative, not Aneke.
  • They've got into our heads from the very first minute ( Sessingon) and it has continued throughout the game.
We're not mentally strong enough to get out of this league.

Its only the fourth game of the last ten where we've got 1-0 down.

We've only lost two of them
  • Two words for this...

    Shite!

    And the other...

    SHITE!

  • This is excruciating to watch
  • F****g woeful!
  • Palace need to lower their expectations of Rak-Sakyi
  • Oooh! Great ball forward to JRS and a good run into the area, but he tries to cut back to Aneke and a defensive block gets in the way first.
  • 80 mins played - 65% possession (passing it around our own half).
    Shots on target  - Zero.

    We are pants.
  • Morgan on for Lavelle?!
  • Morgan short sleeves and gloves
  • Morgan replaces Lavelle.. Dobson into defence...  :#

  • A lack of bravery that has run through this team for many seasons.
    Just not good enough

    or backwards
  • This team is so shit not 1 shoot on target again subs to late again fuck World Cup and charlton
  • Palace need to lower their expectations of Rak-Sakyi
They already have, that’s why he’s playing for us
  • I was in two minds today, whether to follow the match or binge watch Andor.

Not for the first time, my choice has not been optimal.
  • No yellows cards for PV
  • WTF was Inniss doing then, just trotting backwards, as a player gets in front of him
  • JFC ball in to the box toward Payne but he's surrounded by players and the clear easily. They come forward and we block, come forward with Morgan, but lose possession again. Inniss backs off for fear of getting booked but Dobbo does well to draw the foul and win the free kick.
  • The Sess moment sums us up today, and often other days to be fair.
  • Never looked like anything other than a defeat from minute one
they should be absolutely bollocked for this
