    Kane hasn't started a game this season. Come on as sub quite a bit but only for the odd few minutes usually.

    I expect so. Looks like the club rightly want senior pros for the second half of the season rather than needing to play Chin, Clayden etc before they are ready.

    Clare & Kane will compete for the RB spot
    Sess & Edun will compete for the LB spot

    Sounds like Kane may also be able to play CB

    So I make that 5 out (JFC, DJ, McG, MacG and Stockley) and 4-5 in (Edun, Bonne, Ferguson, Kane and another forward please). Doesn't increase numbers overall, but does increase genuine competition for places and strengthen the first 11

    What evidence have we seen in the last 3 years that we can get better than this pair?  it seems pretty obvious that we can't.  Let's settle for the ex.

    Clare hasn't played a game in midfield for us for over a year - I'm not sure he's even considered a midfielder by the management anymore.

    Im pretty sure we have tried signing Todd Kane before. Not disappointed, as I think he is a decent player at this level

    I do hope that Edun is still signing as he is the only name linked that I think is up to much. 
    This very much seems like a shuffling of the pack and a lot of being hopeful that things work out.
