Did Khawaja think "last ball" and momentarily switch off ?? I know the ball was spinning & moved off the pitch but it was a nothing shot where he had been defending 90% of the time.
1st day they all trooped off in bright sunshine at 6.30pm losing 6 overs forever.
Today, there are still 38 overs to play when they come out after tea at 4.50. Given that teams generally only bowl around 13 overs per hour then that's just about 3 hours of play to be had.....and its mandatory that you bowl a minimum of 15 overs in the last hour. So, when does this last hour start, especially as I think play can only go onto 7.30pm.
Might not have mattered if Stokes hadnt declared at 6pm on a bright & sunny day with Joe Root smashing 6's everywhere.
What wouldn't he give for another 30 or 40 runs now.

Wouldn't Englnd have fewer overs to bowl though?
England were batting quickly on Day 1 though. We maybe could have declared yesterday

2 edges. Get slips in
New ball due in a couple of overs. I'd bring on Broad & Anderson now.
Hard chances but then Bairstow gets castigated for similar.
Who wouldn't have taken the new ball?
