I assume that those big numbers for Wednesday and Derby were at MK Dons. No stadium in the Championship would have that number of seats available for away fans!
Still quite a poor effort from us. Especially considering we have nearly 10k prepared to go to Old Trafford on a Tuesday night. Don’t think we even sold out Wycombe and we were actually doing alright in the league back then so us being shit isn’t an excuse

Yes Killer. we were drinking in a boozer in Tamworth on the way to Burton and there was a group of Derby in there on their way to Mk said they'd shifted a couple of tickets
Burton is the most central club in our division! We have a lot of Southwest representation, but nobody that far north either, seeing that we don't have any of the Cumbrian clubs (both in L2) or the Northeast ones.

We’re not a big club and never claim to be (or care) but that’s going to put a dent in our away attendance average. And 2 of those were televised. Pretty sure our average away attendance will pick up in the second half of the season.

I think ordinarily our respective away support is pretty similar. You like us haven't had any local derbies to up the averages. Who have you had this season with bigger away support?
Our season average will artificially look higher after next week if cup games get included. We've taken just over 10,000 away in total this season, so add in the 9500 next week and the average will be artificially higher.

But almost 50% of our away games have been midweek, and the most local of those was Birmingham. The others were Swansea, Burnley, Rotherham and Norwich, which was televised and during a rail strike.
Do you lot have to have memberships and buy your tickets beforehand, or can you pay on the door at most places?
We don't have to collect our tickets, and a police escort up at the service station. I don't remember police helicopters filming bus loads of fans getting to a game either 🤷

Indeed, but my point is both will probably improve. We’ve still got to go to Derby, MK (midweek), Posh, Exeter, Ipswich, Cheltenham, Bristol Rovers, Cambridge, Plymouth and FGR (midweek but new ground). Only Morecambe (rearranged), which I’d forgotten altogether tbh, will be relatively poor.

In terms of the distance they travel it is, but they're top of the league so it's expected they'd take good numbers away. I'm more impressed with Bristol Rovers and Port Vale, they both average less than 9k at home but are taking over 1k away.
