Saw his block in the box during the ITV highlights show. Saved a goal there.
  • Has scored for Wimbledon against Lincoln.
    His first senior goal.

Sky Sports said he's Nigerian but he is actually of Ugandan heritage.

Sounds like the loan is going very well for him and Jacko.

    That's terribly sloppy journalism.

Incredible. Robbed the lunch money off their defenders to be completely frank

Was the comment from a Wimbledon fan on reddit about him.

Great for Asiimwe, hopefully we can let Jacko have some more of our players out on loan

Unsurprisingly, he has been named in League 1's team of the week.

The irony is Asiimwe, who has looked awesome in his great start at Wimbledon could be the youngster who Cafc come under pressure to sell by a Premier team or a Championship team with their parachute money.

Strong, fast and learning the RWB role. Also JJ has given him licence to get into the box with his debut Wimbledon goal last week.

Nathan is 20 year old and needed this loan to play every week and showcase his talent.

If he keeps playing well then does he become an argument for not buying a long term RWB? Asiimwe as the back up to Apter after a solid season in L1 would allow both of them to keep developing and pushing each other

Exactly this, deffo a potential place for him in the team in January (if there is a recall option) or for next season, especially if for some reason Rob was to get injured or really fall off form (Which seems unlikely, he has been one of my fav to watch so far this season)

Though I think its best for him, AFCW and JJ that he stays there for the entire season.

Yeah I wouldn’t be pulling him back in January, needs regular game time in L1 to keep developing

It’s mentioned in passing in the written version but on Cawley’s pod Asiimwe confirms his new contract is 2 years + a club option

with his strength and pace, I'm thinking he can be more of a replacement/backup for Ramsey.

He is very promising on the attack but his defensive positioning and decision making is still a work in process.  As an example, in his last game,  he made a run forward, another player was dispossessed and Asiimwe was slow jogging back leading to a counterattack and calls for a handball on a shot.  I don’t think playing as a center back makes sense for him.  I think his future lies more as a wingback or as a winger.

Wouldn’t be against trying him there because he has a very similar build to Ramsay but not sure he has the defensive capabilities to play there as he seems to be better going forward than back

Apparently Nathan struggled against Cardiff's Ollie Tanner in the first half on Tuesday but had a much better game after Tanner went off injured (just seen it's a bad one; broken leg).

Wimbeldon fan also told me how much they like hiis attitude and he's giving 100% every game.

Defensive nous takes time to learn. Ramsay has only started playing centre back in his mid-20s and even he has had some positioning disasters like away at Wrexham. I think given his physique, his natural inclination to pull to the right as well as him having some good attacking sense his future is most likely as a RCB in our setup. He'll need time to learn the role but that's where I see him.
