The fact that Laqeretabua has jumped ahead in the queue is almost damning for Asiimwe
Josh hasn't looked too out of place for the most part either... Yes he's been a bit green at times, and it was unbelievably stupid from our Defence to have him marking Sweeney against Burton (especially when they went looking for a penalty), but that wasnt his fault.
Seems baffling that we decided to recall Asiimwe at all.
I don't think we did, I think his loan expired and we decided not to extend it. That could be that NJ wanted to see if he was ready or that we weren't happy that Hartlepool were reportedly playing him higher up the pitch rather than RB. Defensively he has so much to learn and he won't be able to if he isn't actually playing RB/RWB
Defensively he's not that bad anyway, especially when playing at wing back. And definitely better defensively than T Campbell.
It's frankly baffling that he's not even considered an option by Jones.
Comparing him with TC isn’t fair, they’re asked to do different jobs. TC’s main priority at RWB is more attacking than Asiimwe’s

Asiimwe is an attacking full/wing back though, so the role they would play wouldn't be that different in effect.

He’s not a winger being converted into a wingback, he’s naturally more defensive

This looks like a good move all round. If he is too far on the fringes here, Walsall are a very good club and team at the moment to be joining. I hope he can become a starter there on merit, good luck Nathan.
Great move assuming he gets regular game time. I think he’s got a lot of potential with his physical and technical attributes.
Watching some of the u21 streams he’s progressed beyond that level, but didn’t always stand out as much as I hoped. He has an almost of laid back style, very different to say Karoy who’s all about aggression, running and intensity. Add more of that to his game along with being reliable defensively and he could go very far.
Agree with those saying this look a great move, on paper. Hopefully he gets plenty of game time. I really like the look of Asimwe and he seems to have all the attributes to be an good attacking full-back/wing back. I hope a good few matches at that level will help him figure out how to get the best out of himself in mens football as he hasn't quite made the step up work yet when he's been played in our first team. You can see the potential there though.
From what I was told albeit drunkenly was that Saddler didn't have the full confidence of the board as to whether it would be a good acquisition or not ( concerns about whether he was good enough ) Although I don't know what's changed considering.
I'll get a catch-up at some point later in the year and get the full story
Baffling that a player good enough to be brought in by the team pissing L2, isn't even good enough to make our bench, when we have 2 players in his position out injured.

He is going to be a reserve for them. Are we going to be playing someone who isn’t even going to be starting in league two and had mixed reviews non league and has been a defensive liability whenever he has played for us
I think Asiimwe has huge potential, if he can get game time at Walsall it could do him the world of good. Good luck Nathan.
He’s been given a great opportunity but he needs to grab it with both hands. Like Nathan J has found out, you don’t mess with a winning line up if you don’t have to so Nathan A has to be giving 100% all of the time and hope he either gets given a chance to get on the pitch or he makes a chance by impressing at the training ground; and when he does get on the pitch in a match he has to give them reason to not drop him. I think he’s got what it takes and a good run in a team that has a successful season will pay off for him and Charlton hopefully.

He hasn't played a minute in the league for us this season, and hasn't even been a bench warmer since returning. Difficult to prove if you can do a job in those circumstances.
For example, with the new system Small has been good but really struggling with tiredness at the end of games. Asiimwe would have been an obvious late replacement, fresh legs with the solidity of Alex Mitchell covering behind him
Seems like a great opportunity for him to play a bigger part in a decent squad, well done to him for getting the offer and landing it. It'll be good to see him in a few months for pre-season, I have a feeling he'll be well worth seeing.

That's the first move of the window.
