Number 44 "The Top 50 Football League Players" in this month's FourFourTwo.

A hattrick at Wembley wouldn't be a bad way of getting those 3 missing goals.

So when is he back / when do we find out his injury is a season ender like Miles?

I think from trying to decipher the situation from Nathan Jones' conferences that he is very close. The club are clearly looking to get him 100% as there are some important games on the horizon.

Hope he is being preserved for the Wycombe and Wrexham matches. Praying it's not a worse injury that the club are keeping schtum about.

I think, if he is ready, the Northampton game would be a good one to re-introduce him.

Nathan probably said he's closer than he was last week!

Lloyd really is having the season of his career. A real leader at the back for us, and a threat in the opposition's box too. Long may this purple patch of his continue

It wasn’t a centre back’s goal either, it was a deft touch in the box on the half volley. Lovely finish.

Player of the season by a far margin, without him in the team we are so much worse

Up there with one of the best individual performances I have seen from a Charlton player, adjusting for level and excluding Mendonca at Wembley because no one will beat that.

Best player we have had here for a while. Consistently dominant and a threat going forward. Absolutely delighted that he has signed.

Seems to have gone under the radar that he put in that performance against the team that supposedly wanted him in January. They’d have been a much tougher prospect today with Jones in their side

It's crazy to think he was playing second fiddle to Michael Hector last season.

Still made 30 league starts and a couple of sub apps. Didn't it turn out he missed the last month or so of the season due to injury? At the time I don't think much was said by NJ or the club, so it looked like he wasn't rated.

I’ll be devastated if he doesn’t win player of the season. I voted for him but worry Coventry will get it due to some recency bias influenced voting.

True enough but when he did play last season he certainly wasn't in the kind of form/mentality he is now. He wasn't terrible but he never looked like being one of the leagues best as he does now.

I'm not saying that to disparage him either, quite the opposite actually as for whatever reason he's gone up a level (maybe more than one) this season. But I for one have to admit I never thought he'd be THIS good... though I'm very glad I was wrong.

Absolute colossus today. Been excellent all season but this was the best of the lot.

Second coming of Jason Pearce in terms of his battling, commanding, organising and aerial dominance but then so much more than that being better on the ball and quicker too.

And fitter - he doesn’t seem to suffer from repeated injuries and knocks in the last five minutes like poor Pearce-y so often did. 😉
