No they're not. They're not. Shush. Stop it. They're not. They can't be.
  • I would really like that to mean that Spurs are all in for Eze now.
  • Fair play to Olise for staying... Shame as that along with Eze leaving Palace could have buggered them

Olise to Chelsea just seems weird , they got rid of Pulisic but still have Madueke, Mudryk , Hudson - Odoi, Ziyech, and Jackson they signed from Villarreal.

Does mean JRS might get a chance at Palace though.
Hudson-Odoi and Ziyech will both leave. Jackson is a striker.

Wide players i think they now have Sterling, Mudryk and Madueke. Not that great really for a combined 150m+.

Debatable judging by the Liverpool game!
  • Paqueta move to City is off due to some suspicious betting he's been involved in. Lots of suspicious looking yellow card videos being shown on twitter

West Ham will be bitterly regretting not selling him to City earlier this week!

Only a handful of players have ever managed 7+

  • Chelsea are interested in signing USA striker Folarin Balogun from Arsenal, who value him at £50m, with Monaco also keen on the 22-year-old, while Inter Milan are no longer in the running. (Sky Sports)

It's got to the stage where you could link any player with Chelsea for a crazy fee, and it's a believable story.
  • I find it very hard to believe that Chelsea won’t be getting into serious FFP breeches surely they can’t be spending over £800m over the last couple of windows and remain inside spending limits ?

And surely fiddling FFP rules means that they've effectively brought expenditure forward, and that for the next 8 years they'll be more restricted in what they can spend, as the transfer fees are amortised over these ridiculous long contracts. And presumably when these players are sold, they'll have to take the hit in that year's FFP calculation?

Their strategy seems, in my opinion, to be a gamble on prices for top end players continuing to spiral upwards in the next few years. If that happens and players are going for, say, £250m by 2026 or so, then their strategy will seem like a masterstroke.
If, however, fees have peaked and they start to stabilise or even reduce, then they’re surely in the shit as they’ve already committed large payments for the next few years.

I’ve been hoping the ludicrous football money bubble will burst for years now, but the prospect of Chelsea fucking themselves over makes me want it even more.
  • Nah they'll be fine they'll just sell off the players that flop to Saudi teams, and there's nothing anyone can do about it. Expect Newcastle to do similar in the coming years
  • Where's all the United haters about the non awarding of a pen there?

  • What were the things being chucked on the pitch?
  • Ange's Spurs look good.

    Ten Hag's United look guff.

Paper from the big mural thing I think?
  • Second goal was appalling defending.

Surely United must be the most hated club in the UK now
  • Really enjoyed  the Brentford V Spurs game.

I've said all summer to anyone that'll listen that I think Postecoglou will do well at Spurs.  I think he's a very good manager whose teams play good attacking football.

Spurs could score a lot of goals this season.  They desperately need a striker though, as Richarlison is shite
    As I was saying!!

I'm far from a spurs fan, but I really rate Postecoglou. Spurs will be great to watch this season.

I've always felt that Foden's skillset is not best utilised out wide - the presence of KDB, Bernardo and Gundogan has limited his opportunities to play centrally but he has absolutely run the show tonight in the middle of the park and hopefully he will get to play there a lot more. Including for England alongside Rice and Bellingham.

It was the card that was used for the TIFO. Everyone started making paper aeroplanes.  One nearly hit a United player in the eye.  It was hilarious but no doubt the PL will throw the book at us.

Hands down the best midfield unit performance I have seen in donkeys years from a Spurs XI.  Sarr, Bissouma and Maddison absolutely outstanding.

Promising signs.  Cant ask for more than that right now. We'd be dangerous if we had a centre forward 🙈

Everything that comes out of Ange's mouth is class.  Cant wait to get home to see MOTD.  Far too much Neck Oil has been sunk today!

I was thinking exactly that. From the chances they've created in the first 2 games, Kane would've had 4 or 5 already!
