Done a fair few of those. (Including Venezuela on a day-trip lol). But a question - I drove through Yugoslavia to get to Greece many years ago can I convert all the places en route into their "new" country names?
I'm working on visiting all 50 US states (and DC) - at the moment I am missing just Alaska, Vermont, Delaware and Connecticut.
Nah it’s like doing the 92. New stadium you have to do it again.

Yeah but I don't subscribe to the 92 rules. It's like saying just because Woolworth no longer exists I never went there.
The list in the initial post is of sovereign states, not countries. Whether there are 194 or 195 in the world, I believe is disputed as some don't count Palestine.
I'm a bit confused by the list, I couldn't copy the original text and strike throughs.
I've been to 40. I try and do a new one each year, to keep my country count above my age. I've been to all continents but need to revisit Africa to have seen football and played golf on each one.
I think my only country not mentioned yet is Bolivia.

How many countries have you seen a sporting event on, a few I imagine.
Antigua and Barbuda, Belgium, Costa Rica, Estonia, France,Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland (CAFC pre season tour 97),Italy, Kenya,Malaysia, Maldives, Malta,Morocco,Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Seychelles, Singapore,Spain, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand,Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey,United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, USA.
That's 27 in total that I've ticked off. Next one on my list will be Mauritius in November hopefully.
I've done 83. Lots of them while on a year long trip around the world in the 1970's. We still love travelling so added quite a few since then. In Mallorca at the moment!
The criteria I used (94 different countries/Islands) is different from the criteria that of Thai Malaysia Addick. For example, I have been to 6 different Islands in the Maldives and 6 different Islands in The Bahamas and counted them as such. But equally, I haven't been silly and counted Alcatraz as a separate Island, although technically it can be seen as such.
So to use Thai Malaysia Addick's list, simply for comparision purposes, I have been to 58 of those countries listed.
Did anyone else read this and think "typical referee"?
Why make up your own criteria? It's a fairly straightforward exercise. Why would you count Islands within the same country when the exercise is to see who has been to different countries? Alcatraz ffs?!

Done the same re Yugoslavia, Italy down to Athens and back up via Belgrade to Austria....I'd say you can 'convert'.....I do anyway.
I've been to Chile which nobody has mentioned yet, and Paraguay, almost many others that have been mentioned!
Been to Chile, seen Paraguay from across the river at Iguazu but never crossed the river. Mate of mine is a 'bit' of an anorak when it comes to ticking things of (his not Charlton btw) and said that was a sin not going to Paraguay when I was so close.

COVID prevented a few more being ticked off and I imagine now having to be a responsible parent will mean not many will be ticked off for a while!

Thought I was pretty well travelled, but some of you put me to shame.
Now I see how many more countries I have to visit.
Ticked off 34 countries though.
I'll have Sheerness on that basis.
Well played fellas.
60. I did a really good tour of Central America a few years ago which "ticked off" 5 countries, many of which are a bit dodgy...
Azerbaijan
Georgia
Kazakhstan
Kyrgyzstan
Mongolia
Bulgaria
Romania
Belarus
Apologies if any are doubles
OP needs to do a thread audit and produce a list of what's left
