I'm at a loose end waiting for the tennis so thought I'd go through the thread. I may have missed some mentions but looks like there are surprisingly still more than 60 countries noone has claimed, mostly African and island nations
Does going through the Panama Canal count as visiting Panama?
I would say no, too. I only count a country if I have set foot on land outside of the airport.
On another note, and I don't think anyone has been doing this here, I don't count ex-countries such as East Germany or Czechoslovkia; I go off the current United Nations list of 195 'countries'.
I've been to Chile which nobody has mentioned yet, and Paraguay, almost many others that have been mentioned!
Been to Chile, seen Paraguay from across the river at Iguazu but never crossed the river. Mate of mine is a 'bit' of an anorak when it comes to ticking things of (his not Charlton btw) and said that was a sin not going to Paraguay when I was so close.
I make him right, whilst I was in Buenos Aires I spent a night in Uruguay just so I could tick it off. Was a f****** expensive boat trip just for stamps in the passport.

Yes one of those things I wished I'd done....we did go to Montevideo for 5-6 days though and liked it, nice trip from BA.
I have only done 15, I think, but JJ, my dog, has just done his seventh in two years which might be decent for a dog and is probably about average for a British person. Can any dog's beat that?

My dog claims to have been to 59 countries. However, he is a habitual liar.
Think she might be taking a break at the moment but fairly sure @PrincessFiona could tick some of those African countries off. Have it in my head she posted before about working there a lot
