    One for next season ?
I’d like to see him be Ramsay’s backup at RCB next season. If we are in the championship there might be games where Ramsay is pushed forward to wing back and we want to be a bit more defensive and that might open up a spot for Zach

In case it's not been highlighted before, St Johnstone v Celtic (league match) is on Sky on Sunday , midday ko.

Still out of contract in June. Madness if he goes.
Another post as marvellously confident as it is utterly incorrect.
Apologies, I dont read every post or even thread. It was an opinion of concern, not confidence.

I have a life beyond this site.

Perhaps you could have a word with Smithy who didn't update the Zach subject title with the latest news.
To be fair I think the title was updated, there’s just been more news since that you haven’t kept up to date with. He signed the contract 6 months ago!

    Bump. Great test for him.

Sky Sports app is suggesting he’s playing as the left sided CB in a back three. It’ll be interesting to see if that’s right and how he handles it, as if he’s comfortable it’s another possible route into our first team next season.

Not a great start for the lad getting caught in possession, luckily the shot that came from it was straight at the keeper.

Hope our board aren't watching, commentator says the away fans have three sides of the ground.

Looked at the starting line ups and just one sweaty in each team , which is sad to me for some reason

Remember when Rangers and Celtic wanted to join the Premier League? The standard in general north of the border is abysmal

It wouldn’t be if they had the premier league money.

Zac is the best player to replace Lloyd Jones that we own.  Was stupid to let him go and replace him with a loan player .

McIntyre was also here to challenge Gillesphey, and that seems to have helped Gillesphey up his game.

Zach's also getting regular game time, which will benefit him far more than covering for Jones for a few games.

Well yes because he’s still our player, he will develop much quicker playing every week than being sat on the bench

The loan has about 90% positives about it and about 10% negatives.

This season no, next season yes. Overall yes for his longer term development.

True but he wouldn't be as polished and ready as he apparently is now, regular gametime is important.

    a) he probably wouldn’t and b) he still wouldn’t have played in January, February or March

Yes as an emergency. Was an excellent decision to let him go and play week in, week out. He’s doing brilliantly and will be much more ready for a first team start in August now. We’ve done very well without him as well.

Mitchell got caught bringing out the ball after 25 seconds and was lucky to not cost them a goal. However he’s done well after that and been complimented a couple times from Chris Sutton for his composure. Overall a good half

Charlton had as many in our starting XI yesterday as Celtic and St Johnstone combined, probably why we didn’t win!

Great block from Zach. Good to see him leading the back line too when it comes to stepping up for example.

And then he dives in to give away a free kick in a dangerous area with a booking to boot.

Makes another great block but then gives the ball away to give Celtic a really good chance to score

Had it nicked off him in a dangerous area again there and if it wasn't for the keepers heroics they would have scored

Ooh! Zach nearly cost them there.
Seems he’s had a good game in general but made a couple of errors that they were lucky to get away with.

In terms of the value of this loan. Zach is playing this game, getting this experience, and won’t be playing for the U21’s away at Fleetwood next Tuesday.
Anybody watching and not enjoying this, probably doesn’t like football that much.

More praise from the commentator bloke for Zach and his afternoon’s play.
