I don’t want to cause more in fighting between forums or whatever, but reams basically claiming “I told you he was sacked” as if tonight’s game had no bearing on things has made my night.8

Andy Scott is certainly in the last chance saloon but I want him to prove he can get a manager who can inspire and organise and impress the fans with his football more than talk which is cheap as chips.

I just think it's a bit unfair that they sacked him before he had a chance to do the tunnel jump tonight12

I expect the usual 'get someone who has a Chsrlton connection' comments. I love the club and I want the right guy in the job, someone who is up to the job and with the right coaching back-up. Charlton connection? I really don't care. Just get the right guy.8

If we could give our managers six week contracts we'd be pushing for promotion. That's as long as they seem to last before going to pot!6

Who is it that decides the actual sacking?1

A farce him managing tonight, as he was clearly a dead man walking.
If he had gone yesterday and someone like Pearce was in charge tonight, it wouldn't have changed anything tactically BUT the atmosphere in the crowd would have been completely different, and I suspect some of the tension on the pitch would have gone also.
The players are easily good enough to climb the table, but look really out of sorts and drained of confidence. That's the sort of thing Warnock and yes Steve Evans are very good at. Making their players feel 10 foot tall, and building them and us team spirit.20 -

Somebody presumably has the power to decide, Appleton said he never walks away from a challenge so who pushed him?2
