Players obviously fully aware of his impending sackment at the final whistle and gave it a couple of minutes before going down the tunnel lol. Think they sent Campbell down first to test the water

But he got halfway down, then checked back and passed the responsibility to someone else.
Presumably he knew before the game started he was gone.
What we don’t know is whether there was any indication that said if you win we give you another chance.
I guess he was effectively sacked At the weekend (as in the decision was made but not necessarily conveyed to him) and we only used him tonight pending the new guy coming in.
If we don’t have a new name tomorrow then I struggle more to understand the logic of the timing of the announcement.

Well Curbs didn’t say yes but he didn’t say no when Minto asked. Brown said absolutely not, but he wasn’t asked if he would do it with Curbishley. 🤷♂️
I know one thing for sure. There’s a number of ‘executives’ taking a huge shilling out of our loss making L1 circus club and continuing to run it like an amateur hour.
I can confirm Appleton was at The Valley this morning. Believe it must’ve been a case of being told it was win or bust and clearly, he was gone the moment fans singing sack him now or we’re going down. Didn’t matter if we won tonight. He was gone.
Waste of time letting him manage tonight. It should’ve happened at the weekend.
This next appointment is arguably the most important in the club’s history.
Unthinkable that we could go down. The next manager has to be right and it has to be one we can get behind.
May I take this opportunity to apologise to @Hertsseasider and all his fellow Blackpool fans on the fact that Appleton won't be around to boo next Saturday owing to the fact we have sacked him tonight.
I think the only manager, who can heal the chasm that has opened up between the fans and the club is Lee Bowyer. He would have everyone behind him from his first game, which is what we need for the oncoming February fixtures and relegation battle.

Thank fuck it's over. One of the worst managers we've ever had. HUGE pressure on the SMT to hire a decent manager... Not sure I have any faith in them to do so.
Just another one of their mates I'd imagine. The club is rotten, I wonder what bullshit methven is feeding the owners.
No idea of his personal financial situation. But, revelling in anybody losing their job seems wrong. But, it was obvious early days it wasn’t going in the direction we wanted. Iv no idea who who bring in, but let’s just hope our club stalwarts Pearce/Euell can with pure enthusiasm turn this round over the next couple of games. In old hero’s we trust……
Why do people continually assume getting back Powell, Bowyer, Curbs et al back, as if they’re guaranteed to be successful, it doesn’t work like that. Particularly with the clowns in our boardroom.
Trouble is there pride wouldn’t even consider asking or consulting him.
Isint this the same lot who did ask Chris Powell if he would work alongside Holden?
And your point is?
Well quite obvious really. They didn’t seem to have an issue with pride when speaking with Chris Powell, so why would they with Curbs if they felt it necessary?
At the end of the day - ridiculous appointment inevitable conclusion….
Appointing Appleton points to football being a closed shop with very little “out of the box” thinking - jobs for the boys.
Outside of the Premier League most supporters as a whole - (especially the Charlton fanbase who aren’t in this for any form of pleasure) - know what’s what. The Appleton appointment was a stinker, we all knew it and it’s truly stunk.

But only to assist, did they think that would ever be acceptable? Plus not wanting to be wrong about their own expertise.

‘ 🤡 to the left of me 🃏 to the right, stuck in the middle with SMT ‘
Curbs?

And why are you sticking up for them!
McSackleton, or Mansfield Appleton as I like to call him
