The right decision but can’t pretend I’m not sad about it. He had the ability to do something magic and I was always excited when he came into the pitch. He lost his pace and ability to run but he never lost the ability to create a dangerous chance out of virtually nothing, like he did at Wembley.
It’s the right time for all parties but he’s genuinely someone that will be welcomed back with open arms whenever he wants to visit. Think it’s unlikely we face him on the pitch but if we do he’ll get a great reception
Sad to see him go, but it’s the right decision he was on his last legs. Hopefully gets himself a new club one we can play in the league cup to show him our appreciation. Good luck Chuks!
I still think he could do a job as a sub. Someone must have the stats of him being on the pitch during his second spell, felt like we didn't lose too many
Could see him ending up at Wimbledon on a 1 year contract.
Over 100 games for MK Dons. Jackson will not be that foolish
Going back to MK Dons could be more likely. They will have a big budget for league 2 so might be able to spend on a 30 minute super sub. I don’t think Wimbledon in league 1 will have that luxury
Still think he probably looks around for offers for a while and then retires when nothing comes in near what he’s on now. Would love to see him carry on playing though

Chuks would still be absolutely quality at league 2 level even only for 20 mins a game.
Unstoppable on his day. Loved the way the whole ground used to get excited when he appeared from the bench. Hope he succeeds in whatever he goes onto next
Chuks was a game changer and there ain't many of them around.
Huge physical presence - not always appreciated by referees, almost every 50 50 decision went against him. I'll miss him, but he and Charlton Athletic move on - as they must.
Changed the game that night in Bolton and from there things really began to take shape. Just for that night worth many thanks let alone all the entertainment over his time with us.
It had to happen, hope if finds a chance to shine at another club. He always made you sit up when he came on for us. I reckon he had the best skills of any of our players
One of my favourite players of recent years, the return spell has not worked out but great that it ended on a promotion. Covid was a shit time but watching Chuks on Charlton TV made it a little better, he was unplayable that season
Such an iconic player, even though we scarcely got his full potential due to injury. Just the sight of him coming on in the 80th plus minute must of resulted in the soiling of many a League One defenders underpants.
I would be amazed if he signed elsewhere. No club would take on the liability of a player, however good, that can only do 35 mins (except us of course).
A great player to watch - hopefully the club will put out a compilation of his goals.
Followed by a compilation of oppo defenders bouncing off Chuks and him staring down at them on the ground as if to say "Is that it? Is that all you've got?"
Genuinely so many games in the last few years where I was sat there either bored or resigned to our fate, and Chuks coming on gave me a brief bit of hope/entertainment/occasional goal.
Have a lot of time and respect for him, wish him all the best for his next move.

Completely unplayable
Ah, the famous Bogle-Aneke mathematical progression

Yes, it's a massive gamble to sign someone who can only play cameos from the bench. Lower league teams don't have the money to do that.
Sadly it might be the end for him. Wembley was a great way to go out.

Farewell to Charlton's NHS Ambassador!

He was the real deal at one time.
Good luck Chucks.
When he was good, he was very good. When he wasn't... he was normally injured.
So long Chuks
