You've got to give the bloke credit you really do...
So many injuries, what must it do a persons mindset even when they're back on the pitch.
i.e. For some there must be a little voice in you're head which says... "Dont go into that challenge, you might get injured again, and who knows where that'll leave your career" - I guess in some ways its the difference between a normal person like us, and a Footballer... Its what separates them from being able to have the balls to play the game at a decent level, compared with someone who sits at a desk after only a handful of years in the game.
Chuks for example came on last night, and was just bulldozing his way, ended up with a potential wack on the head, and still kept going - Even after everything he's previously been through whilst as a Charlton player!! - Fair play
Walked on went straight up to their two CB’s and gave them some . Brilliant
When he came on he reminded me of a heavyweight boxer coming into the ring and getting straight in the face of his opponent(s). He was certainly fired up, so much so I was worried he might get himself sent off. But he controlled it just enough.

Yeah I was really impressed with that - as soon as he came on he was bang up for it. A lot of other players would have taken it easy I imagine but he seems full of confidence
I noticed that in the moments when the ball was out of play (which was a lot, cheers Lincoln!) he was pep talking himself and looked like he was praying. Clearly putting a lot of pressure on himself to make an impact and stay fit. I really hope he does for our sake and his. There was so much affection for him yesterday and he gave a lot in his cameo, it would be nice if he can have a really strong end to the season

It's what makes him fascinating to watch. He's highly skilled but also wants a ruck!
Anyone else noticed that when the ball's out of play he walks around with his hands out, palms up, talking to the sky... I'm not sure if he's praying or psyching himself up but he does it all the time
Man mountain yesterday. He gives those around him and the crowd such a lift. Keep him fit enough to come on for 20 mins every game and we stay up, simple as that.
Has an incredible ability to keep the ball glued to him. Even when he gets tackle he often emerges with the ball. Lets hope he's got 14 x 30mins in him for the rest of the season.
He will be spoken about for years to come over what could have been imo. I've said it before, I genuinely believe he could be effective at any level of football. He's deceptively graceful with the ball at his feet, he's strong enough to push away any player and he's a tough bloke in general. You can see defenders drop a bollock when he comes on. I remember at the start of the season when he came on away to Stevenage, their defenders immediately all had a look like 'Christ, this is gonna be hard work'.
Seen him many times walk up to centre backs and give them grief. The exact kind of player you want when your team is up against it, his mentality when he is on the pitch is fantastic and he's a proper team player imo.
He really seemed to buzz off the crowd yesterday, think he really appreciates that on the whole people don’t get on his back and are grateful when he plays
Was noticeable from where I was sat just behind the dugout last night how much Jones was bigging Chuks up & praising him just before sending him on. I thought it was a great bit of man management
As soon as he came on he ran over and bashed his shoulder into the chest of one of their defenders. Just to let him know he was there. And I imagine it may have hurt a little bit as well. I thought he was magnificent, as he invariably is. I had a long chat with him outside the West Stand when he was injured earlier in the season. He’s desperate to play, and he also happens to be a lovely fella.
Really hope Jones doesnt fall into the trap of starting him... Him coming on late to nick a draw or a win will be key to us staying up
I feel like I spent more of the game watching Jones than the football - because it was more entertaining - and at about 58 minutes we did something rubbish. The ball went out of play, Jones did one of his anger cartwheels, checked his watch and then looked for Chuks on the bench and shouted to him. I got the distinct feeling from that that he'd been made aware of how much it's safe to play Chuks and was counting down the seconds until he could bring him on without the physios resigning the next day. Though I also got the feeling that if it gets more desperate he'll be playing him when he can as a Hail Mary so who knows.

last night was the first time I remember is winning a header in their half (excluding best plays) for a long time
if an unused sub from the Bexley c league in the mid 90's (me) can see this, why the f**k couldn't Mr Scott

Glad to hear you're back Chuks.
His ability is well known.

With Chuks - P8 W4 D4 L0 = 16 points = 2.00 PPG
Without Chuks - P24 W3 D7 L14 = 16 points - 0.83 PPG
It's brilliant and heartbreaking at the same time how much effect he has on the game, the other players and the fans.

‘My name’s Chuks and I’ll be making your life hell for the next 30 mins son’
Don't say that
