What an embarrassing start. Bairstow is crap this world cup@0
-
Bairstow now has 141 runs in 7 innings in this WC. Brook has 128 in 4. Clearly the former is the future.1
-
Was a tough watch that interview they showed with Willey between innings.Could see he is still desperate to play for England1

Root caught behind off Starc - following a review having been given not out
19-20 -
Root has 29 runs in his last 5 innings0
-
I get the feeling that this team is being picked in a not too dissimilar way to the first team club captain that wants to play with his mates regardless of the form they are in. Is it any coincidence that the four players left out are the youngest in the squad?2

Maybe but I thought I heard someone saying that Malan is unpopular as he only plays for himself ?0 -

82-2 off 200

Glad to see these two have dig in a bit , wasn’t easy early doors , but if we can keep wickets in hand we have plenty of hitters still in the hutch0

One to you. Malan finds the man on the boundary off Cummins for 50 (64)
103-3 off 22.30 -

Double doh Buttler gone0
-
The sooner Buttler gives up the captaincy the better not just because of his decision making but his batting has absolutely gone to pot. Out for a single off 7 balls
106-4 off 25.1
0 -
Notwithstanding the poor form of our batting in general, I think we are seeing that this wicket isn't a great one to bat on and that 286 is a very competitive score. Again though, the decision to field first has to be questioned.0

Win toss bowl works every time for England.2

128-4 off 30. Another 159 required off the final 20
0 -
Stokes 50* (74)0
-
Zampa gets Stokes. That might be it0
-
Oh Stokes what have you done!!! Works a ball from Zampa round the corner straight into the hands of the man on the forty-five, Stoinis for 64 (90)
169-5 off 35.30 -
I know I've said previously that we left out the four youngest players but I hadn't realised that Livingstone is 30 too. We must have the oldest team, at an average age of 34, in the tournament by far and possibly the oldest that has ever played in a WC.0
-
Last hope at the wicket now.0
-
And then Livingstone plants a long hop into the hands of Abbott the sub at mid wicket for 2 (5)0
-
Livingstone gone for 2…0
-
You have to say that is great catch.
...and Bob has just left town.0
