Cmon referee hows that a foul from Leaburn

Its obstruction on Miles!! (Edge of their area, with them on the ball)
In the penalty area, always a get out for some reason...🤷‍♂️
Never a foul anywhere on the pitch. Part of the game, play on. Having said that, good on Leaburn for reacting (without getting booked) to let their CB know he won’t have it all his own way

The FIFA rule book still has obstruction listed as a reason for a foul.
FIFA Law 12 – Fouls and Misconduct clearly states that an indirect free-kick should be given if a player impedes or obstructs an opponent
  • It's ok chaps. You know we can only play for 45 mins. At Wigan it was the first 45, today it will be the 2nd.
  • Too many long balls angled toward the wingers that aren't working. Need to get the ball down and build through midfield. Should be said Pompey are very good in midfield.

One of the most annoying aspects of Football given how much its ignored - Every game you get players "obstructing" the ball to ensure it goes for a goal kick, with no intention of touching it.
  • L.Watson with a shot from the edge of the box, comfortably wide, and dont think it would have beaten the Goalkeeper anyway.

Just couldnt get it out of his feet.

Well Pompey are obstructing us from winning  :)

Unfortunately we're playing quite well this half...

Man City loanee takes corner, Norwich loanee scores.

Meanwhile, we only have one of our four fit loanees on the pitch

  • Good finish, but… we were given numerous warnings at Lincoln, where I think their number 2 had three chances to score similar goals. I’m amazed we’ve not worked on our shape defending corners and winning the 2nd ball.
  • F/wood 3-0
    B Rovers winning 0-1

    Andy Scott masterclass
  • Phew... Nice bit of possession from Pompey ends with one playing a pass that his mate didnt run for, and goes for a Goal Kick

To be fair by the letter of law, is obstruction not just an indirect free kick?

Regardless, never given. The home crowd would’ve rightly gone ballistic if it had been given. Imagine that in front of the Covered End!
  • Pompey time wasting already, got 'em worried...
  • Pompey have really taken control these last few minutes.

Need to get in @ HT 1-0 down at this rate
  • We've looked pretty shit since they scored
  • Lovely turn and shot from next to the penalty spot by a Pompey lad... Almost goes for a throw in
  • We’re not in any rush either. Seems like both teams willing to take 1-0 at HT…

Yeah bit of a odd lull at the moment.
  • 2mins added... Probably the right call

Now Kamara, why the f**k couldnt you have done that instead of scoring? - His effort from outside the area finds the English Channel
  • Kamara blasts over from 25 yards looking for a repeat of the earlier goal
  • I wish we were set up to play with a midfield three so we could give Lwat a little more freedom. He's so good in the final third, but sometimes he looses the ball too easily in the middle third, and while he has great energy, sometimes he runs himself out of position.

Yep, an indirect free kick should be given in the box, soon eradicate the stuff, but as usual the ref just bottles it...

Two good teams going at it, separated by one quality volley. Pompey had the first 15, we had the next 15 and they’ve had this 15.

As the away side against top of the table you’ve got to expect periods of being under pressure
  • Oxford winning 0-2
