I don't understand the anti-Hector sentiment. He's recently been out best player. He really has turned into one of those players that divide opinion, of which we have had many.
He has been excellent .. personally make him captain
Andy Scott and MA been working on the sort of players and positions MA wants , he supplied his targets to Scott …. but targets have to be realistic .. given FFP and the rules and regulations …….. we need two windows before this squad will be able to challenge for top 2 …people need to give the club time to undo the previous mis management of the last 10 years

Time waits for no man. January is a big month and Scott knows that
1) Make dobbo an offer he can't refuse 2) Sell CBT 3) Buy for a 352 formation which will suit May and Dobbo 4) Tell Apples that is what is happening and if he don't like it he can get his coat 5) Buy a physical / mobile proven striker to play up top with May 6) Buy 2 midfield generals to play in front of Dobbo 7) Buy a solid proven centre back to replace Hector 8) Make sure all 4 of these key signings are hard, nasty bastards 9) Send campbell, tedic, ambankwah, and camara back 10) Try and add a bit of flair via the loan system in a few winger type characters - ball carriers who can be brought in and out of the side as and when
Thats it - that is the blueprint - now please make it happen and end this ongoing bollox - fuck performance coaches and a culture shift and all of that shite - just buy the right players and put them in a formation that works
hector can stay as one of the 3 centre backs but not the main man - we need a leader and an organiser back there - in an ideal world CBT would also stay and be used as and when - however, i'm pretty sure he's off so that's that - if scott wants to discuss the finer details of the masterplan with me, that's fine - i won't charge
I wonder if Jones might learn to fill that role. He’s very dependable, and might grow into it with more experience? (PS You were talking about replacing Hector, but now you’re not.)

Couldn’t give a fuck whether hector stays or not but he is the leader of the defence is he not ? Does he not call the line ?? Well somebody else needs to come in and do that because he shouldn’t be leading anything other than those going out the exit door
It’s hard not expect 3 weeks of almost nothing in January and then a flurry of mediocre loans in the last few days with FFP/SCMP and high asking prices used as an excuse.
"Dean left the role because we wanted to be successful this season, or give ourselves the best chance."
On Appleton: "He developed young players and understood the style of play he wanted. He implemented it well. The top six is a realistic expectation for everybody."
“That’s my job now, to make sure we have the strong foundation built to get promoted and stay in the Championship and progress even further, challenge at the top of that.
We don’t want this to be a waste of a season. We want this to be a successful season. We felt making the decision when we did left Michael with plenty of games to be successful with a group we feel is a strong one in this league.
We can at least challenge at the top end of the league where we feel we should be with the squad we’ve put together.
“I will hold my hands up if something goes wrong. I don’t expect to get plaudits. I don’t want to be front and centre – doing interviews. I want to do my job and be judged on how the club performs.
Come out and hold your hands up, Andy. Show us what a real leader with an elite winning mentality does. Don't hide in the shadows of the tower of shite you helped build.
Get rid of Appleton, otherwise it’s not worth bringing in any new players as he'll only play them out of position.
This must make the scouting interesting, we’ve watched May at centre forward scoring bucket loads of goals, let’s sign him and see what he’s like at um, left wing, today?
It would be an improvement if Scott and Appleton were on the same page. Mind you that improvement might not get us much past page one of how to wipe your own arse.

We are where we are because of Andy Scott. No tangible difference between this muppet running recruitment and Thomas Sandgaard's son. In fact I may be as bold to suggest Sandgaards son did a better job. I'll just mention Tedic, Penney, Walker and Camara. His appointment of Appleton the stand out candidate who's a wizz "on the grass" and specialises in "developing youth" I've seen no evidence of it. Our youth players have regressed and on the grass the starting 11 are struggling to string 2 passes together. Andy Scott is demonstrateably clueless. No sign of the 'winning mentality' he was waffling on about. Appleton and the players will be the fall guy's, but this clown owns the situation, he created it.

Doing a poor job at present and no doubt getting paid handsomely for it.
Spoke to an ardent Notts Forest fan, who told me their owner was bonkers, but ably assisted by a certain A Scott. I don't hold out much hope for a jaw dropping transfer window. More BS owners with no idea.

All piss and wind this lot. Prove me wrong please.

Charlatan.
I’ll be very happy to be proven completely wrong.

So, Andy... You holding your hands up yet?
Mind you that improvement might not get us much past page one of how to wipe your own arse.
