He is like a broken record. Yawnsville
  • Tired of the BS. We've been outplayed by every team that we've played for months now.

Just admit it Nathan and try to do something about it.

If we survive, you've done a fantastic job, but it doesn't distract from the fact that we are playing really crap, horrible football.

Greg Docherty came close to admitting it but couldn't quite utter the words "We're playing too shit to win a football match" ATM.

I do understand the sentiment around the recycled words and the frustration given how poor the football’s been, but in reality this about as deep as it gets with these things.

With 3 games to go, I can’t imagine he will start to call the team and the players out publicly, and I’m not sure he’d best served by doing that.

I think he’s had an exhausting season and it’s been hard, and I think he’s hanging on, hoping we’ve done enough and will do enough between now and Swansea to stay up.

If we do stay up he’s certainly earned another season and hopefully a break, a chance to bring some better, more talented players on the ball is top of mind.

I know he’s a bit marmite, but all things considered, I always think he offers up an okay press conference

In some ways, this poor end can help in terms of making it clear we have to spend well in the Summer.

Don't know what people expect him to say.
You're not going to motivate your players by saying you're shit and get outplayed by everybody you come up against.
Let's get the job done and worry about the aesthetics later
We’ve had it all over the last few years: Adkins’ daily positive walking selfie updates, Ben Garner’s philosophical spiel, Holden’s nice guy approach and Appleton’s head down mumbling. Nobody liked any of those really and especially once results turned, understandably.

I think Jones talks sense most weeks. Just like a lot of managers, and people in general, he has phrases and messages he comes back to. The only criticism I have is that in some post match interviews he gets a bit caught up in the moment which impacts his assessments, but that’s no different to most managers.

Jones is just taking each presser as it comes and being the best version of himself, and in terms of everything probably should have won.

All that is missing is a defensive lapse, and he let's slip what he really thinks...

“When the seagulls follow the trawler out to sea”

Are you expecting Jones, to turn all Cantonaesque?

And of course he gets asked the same boring questions week in week out.
