The attempt at trying to fit games around International breaks just dont work. The squad limit of 25 players is not enough when all clubs are having increased injury lists due to the constant games. When you take into account most clubs having 3 keepers in the named squad 3/4 injuries in the same area means clubs cannot compete effectively

Well if we finally agree the current game schedule is bad for us and for the welfare of players, the question is what to do about it. There are three obvious measures:

    1. Abolish the League Cup
    2. Rearrange the pyramid with regional lower leagues and the Championship and PL 20 teams
    3. cancel the Sky contract on player safety grounds, and tender a new deal which is based on Sat and Sun only and no early or late KOs

No point asking “who’s with me on that” because I already know that only a small
minority will be. But  at least you all now know where to look when seeking to blame someone for thw current situation…

    The mirror! 😉

Nathan Jones looks ahead to Saturday's clash with Portsmouth.
  • I like his words about us being overlooked for the awards... I feel he could use that in his team talk tomorrow

For me, it's impossible to not like the guy.

I thought it was interesting RC snippets on X where NJ admitted to having OCD, which if true and not a joke, would make his antics even more understandable.
