  • Five months old Cockerpoo. More Cocker than Poo I think. First snow day.
Yep, more Cocker than Poo, looks like Bailey (Above) a few months ago...what a smasher!
  • Unfortunately, I have had to put down our beautiful red English Staffy who was called Ruby. She has been battling cancer and the time came to say goodbye. She'll be sorely missed and was a fantastic chum accompanying me to the pub and always snuggling up on the sofa to watch Charlton at stupid o'clock.

Run free over the rainbow bridge Ruby!
  • Losing a pet is like losing a family member and best friend all rolled into one. My condolences to those that have. We did in July and it was simply awful.
100% agree and sorry for your loss.

Our five year old daughter has been petfrified to go to sleep at times over the last two months because she's been getting regular nightmares.

She was crying her eyes out last night, almost inconsolable and then the now rather large 'kitten' Kit Kat arrived to keep her company and she slept peacefully.

All our three cats seem to instinctively know when the girls are upset.
Our old cat Misty (from 40 years ago) was exactly the same.

I love this time of year, the dogs have their winter coats and everything is crisp and fresh.

    That’s a cracking pic!
  • Awwww @Sillybilly thank you for taking on a senior cat. She will own you and don’t let her near those bunnies 😹😹🫣😂😂😂

Surely, everyone has heard of killer rabbit of Caerbannog?

  • A bit down at the moment as it is a year since we lost our beloved Nima to cancer.  Given that we are both working and my mobility issues, we have decided to wait for a bit before jumping into another puppy although we will do so eventually.  For the moment we are concentration on rearing our unexpected but beautiful new family of 7 rabbits (long story but I’m sure you’d get the drift!!) and two guineas.  To top it all, we’re are adopting a senior cat tomorrow. First time cat ownership for us but she is a grand old dame who will be happy in the house so hopefully she will be easy.  She’s 14 and an half and has just suffered some major disruption in her life so hopefully we will give her a loving old age. Welcome to the family, Pusski (not our choice of name), Zack, Ralphy, Ludwig, Heidi and Freya.

next year you will have about 240 rabbits.

We got them sexed and separated quite sharpish.   Mind you mother managed to eat her way through her hutch floor to get to Daddy so we’re keeping a careful eye open……🤣

  • we bought two guinea pigs, asked for two females... nope. Two months later two new piggies again a boy and a girl. We couldn't get them sorted for three months, but they are able to breed after a couple of months. So new hutch, just for a few months, and keep them separate till the op, had visions of wall to wall porkers.
  • Our boys Kit Kat and Milo are off for the snip today.  Poor little sods.

Think their Mum Lilly will be breathing a huge sigh of relief as Milo has turned into a proper sex case in the last week.  Lilly has proper duffed him up and Milo is now petrified of her lol.

The boys seem to recover quicker than the girls so I'm sure they'll be up to no good in no time at all. Our girls were very quiet and subdued for several days after their op but they are both fine now, 1 month later.

The GP's will have heart attacks at the very sight of a cat

Bless him! Our girls lasted a day with their cone of shame. One managed to get it off herself and we took it off the other one as it didn't seem fair to leave hers on.

I feel sorry for Kit Kat (pictured).  He isn't a complete utter sex case like his brother Milo.  I have got no sympathy for him at all.

I'm a bad cat Dad.  Fully expecting Milo to make a run for it as soon as he was released from the cat carroer, I pre-locked the cat flap.  As expected, he made a run for it, and hit the cat flap so bloody hard it sounded like a bomb had gone off.  Couldn't stop laughing.  Then he spent the next 5 mins taking run ups to try and barge through it.

Both of them have calmed down now thankfully but its not going to be fun keeping them in for 2 weeks.
