I dread to think the state it is going to be in after the women's game today. Torrential rain for the last hour.0

There was a big puddle forming by the centre circle and the halfway line towards the AC stand yesterday before the game.0

Okay this is what I have been told. The club were informed that the pitch needed another two weeks to stabilise prior to the season's start. But they went ahead with the PSF vs Portsmouth anyway. It was this match that wrecked any chance of the pitch doing what it was supposed to. The plastic stuff never got the opportunity to blend properly with the real grass and is now mostly lying flat.
The weather, women's games, etc, etc is really not making any difference.
Obviously the club will not have any comeback on the installers if they did not follow their advice.
It will likely fix itself during the summer months.12 -

my mind if this sounds plausible or not.On the one hand the experts saying it needs 2 weeks but CM and co feeling they were financially committed to the Portsmouth game might account for the decision. But then to ignore the advice when you supposedly spent a substantial sum of investors cash on the pitch (I’m still suspicious how much we spent versus the grant) seems unlikely given I doubt we made much money on the Friendly. Particularly if the jeopardy is losing any guarantee / support from
the contractors.Just don’t know what to really think.0 -
