So some time in the next couple of weeks but who knows?
The Dobson situation is the interesting one - if he's just off to Ferhervar then it won't hold anything up, if there really is any attempt to speak to Ferhervar and try to see if anything can be done, it might hold it all up.

Final game last year was 7th of May, so 6 days. But season before 30th April, so 10 days.
about an hour ago. I got an email from the club telling me all the news. Didn't you get one ?
In all seriousness, Nathan Jones said he is speaking to every player who is out of contract on a 1-1 basis today. Hopefully we'll get some news by the end of this week.
Patience is a virtue.
'Patience is a virtue'. Definitely. Golfie.
I mean, look how long you waited for us to sign a 20 goal striker to fire us to promotion. And blow me, we finally got one!
Then finished in our lowest position since television was invented.
Pretty sure he'll end up playing for Luton next year in the Championship but if not Joe Taylor would be worth a look. A big reason Lincoln had such a good second half to the season.
Saw Joe Taylor play for Colchester v Gills earlier in season. Stand out performer. Also winger called Fevier was good too for Colchester. Gills have a young defender called Ogie who looked very promising.

That longwijk looked pretty good as did their other centre back.
Longwijk started 9 games for Wycombe and still managed as many clean sheets as we did in 46 games.
Longwijk impressed me too. Played a fair few games on loan at Plymouth last season. Seems he's out of contract at Wolves if wiki is to be believed.
Was on loan at Grasshopppers earlier in the season, but injury cut that short. I imagine Wycombe loaned him in January, aware that it would take him several weeks to get back to fitness, as he's probably too good for this level.
Just an aside .. Ipswich look odds on to get to the Prem with very much the same squad that was promoted to the Champ last season (or the one before last if yer no wot I meen) IF 'we' can afford it, transfer fees, salaries, the lesson should be .. sign the best quality available players of top L1/Champ standard. Perhaps a statement of the bleedin obvious, but it's essential i m o to think longer term than has been the case at CAFC for far too long. The Ipswich players this last season have been relentless, they work so hard on and off the ball, they have a super captain in Sam Morsy, an irresistible midfield force (only 14 yellow cards so far in 2023/24), no real superstars, and most importantly have a very talented manager. A start would be to find a way to keep George Dobson and (of course) Alfie May and to allow Nathan Jones a BIG say (the main say) in who we sign
Good article. We won't be signing the players mentioned in the article, we have to find the next version of them.
Fans' will feel comforted that we won't see more signings like we have become used to over the years....
“If people want to take the easy option then don’t come to Charlton – anymore. If you want to cruise or you want to have an easy life, or you want to just be okay, then do not come to Charlton. That’s it.”
He certainly talks a good game, let’s hope he’s got the finances and the necessary power to achieve all that he suggests, if he has and he’s as good as his talk, then it should be an interesting next season.

That was my thinking too. We might sign the odd one to two players Jones knows well to add experience and leadership, but he wants signings to improve the starting 11 and wants them to be good athletes. I can’t see him filling the squad with 30+ year olds.
Where we rank in terms of league appearances departing from those sides that have announced and will be in League One next season. Also in terms of goals, and what percentage of goals those players scored.

Few examples of previous Jones recruitment named here including Luke Berry (LB who isn't a LB).
