To be honest, if we do sign Begovic, we probably won't concede a goal for the whole season.

No Potts or Bishop in the squad vs Wimbledon today (or Isted for obvious reasons).
Edit: Fraser missing as well.4 -
Hopefully signs that Fraser is off.
Maybe Bishop and Potts are still about just not featuring today, or maybe we've moved to different targets, but I reckon they'll both end up here4 -

I think we have other irons in the fire and won’t commit to either Bishop or Potts unless those irons don’t come off.1

Lets hope we have the cash to sign at least 4 players of high quality.6
-
Four unnamed trialists, two keepers, with the U21s today.2
-
Need to start revving up the loan market.
We need injections of quality and raw talent.6 -
At the bottom of this article, NJ says Potts is still with us but had a big week in training, probably putting him through his paces, whilst Bishop is currently not training with us. We can’t sign anyone further until we trim the squad. I would assume both players will have contracts offered but we can’t continue until players like Fraser and Ness are off the books.

After the Wimbledon game I’ll stand by this comment.JamesSeed said:
Do we not also still need a creative midfielder who adds a goal threat? That for me would be a key signing.Callumcafc said:I felt very good about our summer business 10-14 days ago and still do. I said then that the only missing piece was a goalkeeper, and that is still the case.No need to panic yet but is starting to get to that time where it’s less than ideal that a player isn’t in the building yet. We need another defender and midfielder but neither are as critical as the goalkeeper.
Encouraged that Sinisalo was a target - he’d have been my first choice so a shame that he’s gone to Celtic. And still not convinced Coventry is a promotion winning midfielder.25 -
Our squad is massive as it is, we need keeper, left centre back hopefully Potts and an attacking midfielder. I’d rather have no loans involved.SELR_addicks said:Need to start revving up the loan market.

You have to take advantage of every avenue you have to get quality players in.Yann897 said:

It gives you the chance to have a player with the raw talent that wouldn't be available to many other teams in the division if you have the right talent spotting and connections. (Bielik, Cullen, Gallagher, Rak-Sakyi - to name a few).
If we don't, other teams will.
If the squad is too big, pay them off or sell them. There's a lot of players we still have that won't make it anywhere near a promotion winning squad.4 -
Isted departure confirmed to Burton.25

Agreed, I think we should be looking to splash out on a decent creative midfielder as a priority. Bishop looks to be our guy though.JamesSeed said:

Burton do like our castoffs, don't they?mart77 said:Isted departure confirmed to Burton.
You'd think they'd learn after moving MacGillivray on in double quick time.0 -
Undisclosed ‘terms’ as opposed fee. Assume some sort of payment due depending on appearances etc, hopefully not goals scored. Although dependant on goals conceded might suit us.mart77 said:Isted departure confirmed to Burton.3 -
I find the jokes about our former players and Burton hard to sing along to, for one reason. They finished just 7 points below us.5

Yes, so far I'm yet to see what he delivers. Not a massive physical presence, and nothing special creatively.JamesSeed said:

It'll be interesting if NJ seems him as a first choice player, seeing that he wasn't one of "his" signings.1 -

Good news. A really poor signing by us. Seemed a nice chap so good luck to him but there are many, many better L1 keepers around.
Maybe Burton would like to take AMB, Fraser, Edun and Gillesphy too...1
