Meaning that we'd have had less players in their box, and also would have been at risk of a counter attack late on0

Ramsay hates it when Edwards comes over from the left to take a long throw on the right. Ramsay also has a long throw.0
-
Possibly, but Ramsay's also better in the air, so it makes more sense to have him in the box to possibly get on the end of one of Josh's throws than vice versa.1
-
Scotland have a glut of good left backs but, if he continues the way he's playing, I think that Josh has a real chance of a Scotland call up at some stage.
An absolutely tremendous signing.8 -
Chronicles spoke to him after the game and he's OK.6

Watching the extended highlights vs Leicester, Edwards (and Coventry) put in some really dangerous corners yesterday. I remember the odd dangerous one last season from him, but if he can do it more regularly it'll be another big strength to his game.
One of his long throws was in the highlights too, where Leaburn headed it at goal. It right into the middle of the box, I don't remember him getting them quite as far last season.
Looked to me like he might have been working on both his corners and long throws.
Maybe Danny Hylton is already working his magic8 -
The throw to Leaburn was as good as a corner. Huge distance and nice and flat.
I'm still unconvinced with CC's corners. He had an excellent game, but they are a bit hit and hoof for me. In fact, I think Ramsay may have scored with his header had he not had to generate the entire pace and direction himself. A bit of whip from the instep, please.0 -
When Leicester scored was the only time in the game Edwards backed off his man, was on him immediately otherwise0

Hi there! I gather Lord Conor is a duff Terry New Signing Taylor replacement cos while he can deliver a corner onto someone's head 5 yards out, he doesn't absolutely smash it there1
-
I can remember a time when his corners weren't beating the first man, so I'm not going to complain about them not having enough whip when they're going far post.4

Was hoping to see him in the Scotland squad but it seems both Robertson and Tierney are both miraculously fit.0

Pound for pound one of the best signings we have made in years. Whoever scouted him deserves a big fat bonus. Minimum 7/10 every week. Tailor made for this football club.33

He is very good, can't help but think he would be better in a back 4 and was used primarily as a defender, he doesn't offer much attacking wise, but he is quality as a pure defender and for his reliability/consistency.
Definitely one of the best signings of the past decade and imo there's an argument he is better than Wiggins who are of course are best left backs since we left the prem1 -

Edwards is good going forward and delivers a good ball. He partly isn't as attacking because of our lopsided system but some of it gets overlooked because of how attacking the WB on the opposite side is. This isn't the heatmap of someone who doesn't get forward often, he just doesn't have targets in the box enough

The spots on that heatmap on the right hand side for long throws and corners are very funny too9

A thing I really enjoy about him is that he's always involved in the argey bargey during corners and free kicks! Cost us a goal this season but when we are defending it is quite often him picking himself up off the floor!3

I enjoy us not being too soft as a team, and he’s been an important part of that.5 -
