Think we should hold out on agreeing a deal just yet until we have championship status confirmed, and can see if we can get other L1 clubs in a bidding war as well. Would hope for around 500k

I would be astonished if any League One club pays anywhere near £500k. Half that I’d say.

We paid more than that after one decent season in L1. Since then he has a promotion under his belt and 2 years of playing for good L1 sides. Also got to take into account the ridiculous market inflation. Considering Plymouth also want to make him permanent this early means they’re likely desperate all of which helps our case

I think he’d be ok in the middle of the back 5. The wider centre back positions don’t suit him.

In the Championship? I’m not too sure.
  • Nice little article in last Sundays Football League Paper about him.

He said Charlton hold all the cards with what they want to do with him but if they were to let him go, he'd definitely consider a move to Plymouth on a permanent basis as he was really enjoying his time there.

However he also said there are other factors to consider about moving there, namely he is currently living far from home and doesn't see his family as much as he'd like.

For some reason, that clip kinda gives a clue why he might have been 'suddenly' dropped by NJ for a Saturday kick-off and struggled to get back in since.

There is a reason why Mitchell was dropped by NJ and sent on loan. It wasn’t a football reason.

Interesting that a clip of him apparently pissed up at Cheltenham emerges on line and all off a sudden people starting hinting that they 'knew' he had been dropped and sent out on loan for non footballing reasons IE he is a pisshead.

How come that wasn;t mentioned at the actual time he went out on loan?

Absolutely non story. Young bloke gets a bit pissed and lairy at the races, hardly news worthy. Not like he is swinging puinches and properly kicking off.

Chatting to a Plymouth fan in cab, they love him and hope they can sign him in summer.
